Hi guys,

Just for banter purposes of you had to choose one:

Most important goal Chelsea scored in their history: in your eyes? And please give the explanation why

Mine has to be Drogba's goal against Bayern as it allowed us to win our First Champions League.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with the Drogs goal in the final against Bayern. One of the best nights of supporting Chelsea ever.

I would also say Jasper Gronjkaer against Liverpool. It gave us so much of what we have now as a club.

All of our goals as we won our first Championship in fifty years. Something I thought for so many years I would never see in my lifetime.

Lirdt/ Tom that’s a difficult one. Obviously, Drogba’s penalty was huge . David Webb’s winner in 1970 cup final replay or Roberto’a goal in 1997 cup final. Kai’s goal in Champions League final- it’s too hard.

Has to be Jesper Grønkjær's billion pound goal Vs Liverpool for me.

How about Drogba's towering powerful header against Bayern with only a few minutes of normal time left in Munich final of 2012 and that took the game into extra time and then penalties? I recall feeling near despair after Bayern went ahead late on, and we had had so few chances. Matt delivery from corner excellent, but few beyond Drogba could have got the power and accuracy that went into his header. and without which there would have been no extra time or penalties. He scored so. many other key goals for us in finals in EPL run ins, not least that one, possibly fractionally offside, winner visited at Old Trafford and several in Cup Finals, but that header in Munich replays often in my head! Yes, and David Webb's one v Leeds the high point of my childhood!

Most important was surely Gronkjaer’s goal to beat Liverpool in 2003, enabling Champions League qualification and bringing Roman to the table. Without that, there’s a risk we’d be a mid-table team still.
