Just for the banter. It's been worrying results recently . can't really point out exactly what the issues are injuries, and now cv.
I also feel tt has done the unimaginable coming on . At a time I felt we have finally seen a coache but there are issues that gradually showing up now. You would rather class tt asa defensive manager than attacking fro the set up of the team. He doesn't seem to get the best out of attackers as with the defenders. Looks to ensure we don't concede rather than try to score. It's easier for a defender to excel better than atacker. James chalobah vs puli harvertz. wasn't going places with neymar mbampe at psg after all. Wingbacks score more than attackers is not ideal for a tittle winning teams. I don't think we don't have enough quality in the team because cracks are beginning to show in the team which as we all know will end up in a particlar action. We have not only had bad results but our play has been boring and uninspiring. Tt had better watched it because Chelsea under RA has a tradition when things continue to go downhills. Especially after spending so much to assemble quality players.
We failed to strengthen enough last summer with the required kind of players. It was known that the midfield needed addition to boost attackers but nothing was done and unfortunately kante an kovacic got laid off for long and we had to rely on rlc and j5 which exposed everything bad with us.
The worry is that after MU game we all thought the remaining fixtures are winnable to the end of the year. But we can't even win any convincingly even the new weeping boys Leeds. Beginning to look like lampard dying days as our manager when almost every player became poor and knackered. We will be out of contention in December if we don't find solutions ASAP as city is pulling apart and it's only looking like increasing than bridging the gap.
A rival fan once told me that lukaku failures will cost tt his job because he's overrated and doesn't belong to the elite strikers even if he scores some odd goals. He's not a player who shows up when stakes are high.
Please feel free to comment.

I Don’t think we’re as attacking as we could be under touchel, that said. I think it was v Burnley United and Everton we had something like 75 shots, and scored 3 goals, one being a penalty, so we’re creating,

Hi zealot,

I agree our attack has not shown up many times this season. But if you see the last 7 matches our attack played pretty well except for Watford and Leeds. In those matches including West ham we couldn't finish chances. I would put it partly towards luck, partly towards out attack ineffectiveness to finish chances. With respect to Lukaku I belive he is still not accustomed to the way we play and injuries have also played a part. He will come good. It's just that we are going through a bad period. Having said this, the squad depth on full backs and mf needs improvement in January. Attacking full backs are important to our way of play and I sincerely hope we get theo Hernandez in jan and a replacement for azpi in Jun. Mf needs additions like touchameni/ rice considering kante injuries are becoming regular and we concede a lot when he is missing in action. Jorgi for all his talent is not suited for the pl speed and hassle. He is a wonderful play maker who can boss many teams across Europe. But in pl fast football he can get struck in some games which can cost us title chances.

I disagree to an extent as Lampard played more attacking football and these attackers still didn’t put up numbers. They’re just not good enough I think.

Jackie - it's true Lampard played attacking football. But the team lacked balance in mf/ def and we were often caught out on counter. Tuchel set it correct but again issue is not all players are good for this system. Also our attackers ( Kai, Werner and ziyech) are new to the league who are still finding their feet unfortunately. If you see Werner or havertz there is no lack of efforts on their part. They are quite good. It's just not going in their favor. Hope that turns better soon enough.

What part of that was just for banter?

We are on a poor run of form. All teams and all managers suffer spells of indifferent performance.

It will all come good in the end. If not the the man who must be obeyed will be wielding the axe.

So, COME on MY MIGHTY BLUES.

The injuries are wretched and have undoubtedly caused havoc. However Tuchel is defensive. Absolutely no getting away from it. They are a poor watch as compared to Liverpool or City. His first game a 0-0 v Wolves really set his stall. Under Tomas in the PL the team have been bang average. Frank’s team played better stuff, but were defensively poor. Under T all the forwards have went back the way. For me the problem lies with his playmaker Jorginho. Chelsea don’t play to win games, they play not to lose. They look to control games, using slow possession based football that is intended to starve the opponent and smother them.

The problem of late is that opponents are happy give way to this safe passing possession knowing that Chelsea don't have the dynamic to break the lines, Mount apart. They also know that Chelsea are giving up good chances and most teams are scoring.

These strategies are the attributes that suit Jorginho’s game. Chelsea’s forwards now play 70% of the time with their back to goal and marked by a defender due to the ponderous build up play. Earlier in the season quicker forward passes were being hit and strikers were receiving on the 1/ 2 turn, mixed of course with the slow stuff. Now it is completely slow. For me Declan Rice would change everything.

Choosing a 6,8, 10 combination from a pool of Rice, Kante, Gilmour, Kova, and Gallagher is so much more ambitious then having Jorginho as the constant. £85m to £100m on Rice would have been better spent last summer than on Lukaku, but that is now unimportant. Tuchel loves Jorginho, he never drops him, never subs him, plays him every game, home or away, big games small games and I believe that is a problem.

Stephen, if we play at three at the back we can play a player with the qualities of Jorginho.

I have said many times I would prefer us to play a back four but it’s not going to happen with the squad we’ve got.

I wanted us to sign Rice but it ain’t going to happen.

Breaking the lines for us is proving troublesome mainly because most teams have just squeezed the gap between defence and midfield or the alternative is to just don’t allow Mount to turn.

TT like all managers has to find solutions and I remain confident he will.

Over this poor run of form our creation stats are still very high but we aren’t converting those chances. Sometimes teams go through spells like this and then all of a sudden every shot finds the back of the net.
