For me. Brilliant player, controls the game, nerves of steel, keeps it all going. would I like lovely long passes, goals, more mobility? Of course I would. Over to you.

I felt like a lone voice when singing his praises in his first season.
In certain games he can be majestic but he lacks pace and that can sometimes get him and us in trouble.

I think his perfect for some games, controls and steadies the team, other games he can get bypassed, not very mobile, and especially in a chelsea shirt, absolute nerves of steel. His not a defensive mid because he needs a mobile defensive player beside him, kov / kante. Doesn’t get enough assists but that’s a kante kov RLC jorginho problem so his not alone in that,

Good player but needs legs next to him. He’s not world class as he can’t do it all. Tailor made for European football but as a defensive midfielder in the prem he does find it tough in certain games.

I think he’s a very good player in the right system and with the right players around him. He does a tremendous job of providing a reference point for the rest of our team when either building from the back or circulating. There have been numerous games where we look on the ropes and he’s came on and provided calm. He reads the game exceptionally well which is evidenced by his considerable defensive numbers despite being an objectively mediocre athlete. People harass the conservative nature of his passing but a lot of that is subject to the fact that if he gives the ball away in his position then our entire team is exposed on the counter. He rarely dribbles the ball for the same reason. For him to be successful he simply must have a mobile midfielder next to him who covers a considerable amount of ground which is why he works with Kante and Kova. He’s struggled with partners in the midfield who don’t cover vast areas of the pitch at high intensities as evidenced by the lack of effectiveness with Ruben and Billy last year. Additionally he gives them the security to cover said ground because they know they have the insurance of him covering them. You can’t knock his availability and one could even argue that he is hindered by a lack of appropriate rest. There’s a reason that Pep wanted him to orchestrate his midfield at City.

Long season last year, straight into the Euro's and played lots of mins before rejoining the squad and going straight into the Euro Super Cup and new season.
Jorginho has been a warrior for Chelsea, playing with knocks when others not available. He does have limitations, but has more positive impacts than negative ones. Some will never warm to him though.

Awful slows everything down best placed in Italian football but then again how slow we play at the minute fits well in for TT ?.

Jorgi is a very good player but needs support constantly to succeed. Also he is not a player for all systems e. g. counter play or geggen press won't suit him as his lack of mobility hampers those type of football. He is effective in controlling the play and moving the ball around which is wat we do now against most of the teams. But that again in my view reduces the effectiveness of all our attackers. Lukaku, Puli, Werner, havertz are all good with running at the defence with quick balls. That is the key reason why I would want to replace jorgi with tchouameni or rice. Otherwise he would be a very good fit for city who plays the system he would excel in.
