02 Jan 2022 17:11:25
we started so well once we went behind lost all control wat a goal by kova.

02 Jan 2022 17:24:10
Absolute nonsense antibot, but to be honest I don't expect much more from you.

02 Jan 2022 17:29:15
I am talking about situation that none of the players whoose contracts are expiring didn't sign extension plus there is obvious problem with the most expensive signing in Chelsea history. I am asking what is happening?
It has nothing to do with this game.

02 Jan 2022 17:34:56
Even on that logic its nonsense. I definitely wouldn't say the club is falling apart.

02 Jan 2022 18:32:33
Antibot fgs the club can only offer a player a new contract. The club can’t force a player to sign and if they don’t want to stay at the Champions of Europe, so be it.

02 Jan 2022 18:50:08
absoloutely tom we can't force someone to sign all we can hope is they will keep giving 100 percent until they depart which im sure they will.

02 Jan 2022 19:32:03
It’s all a joke the money we have spent and the situation we are in.

02 Jan 2022 19:36:39
It's true contracts tale two party to agree but I'm not so happy that we waited till fre months to expiration to seriously start negotiations. Wholesale changes will not be the best for ucl champions. As per most expensive player, not a good thing to have lukaku as one not fir quality but circumstances. Hope we move him on quickly.

{Ed002's Note - Or perhaps you have no idea what has been going on?}

02 Jan 2022 19:48:00
Would highly appreciate a full piece from you now Ed002. Objectives are needed.

02 Jan 2022 19:49:42
FGS do some fans seriously think that management just wake up one day and think it’s a Tuesday we had better start negotiating this and that players contract renewal.

My guess is negotiations have been going for ages. The club eventually feels it can’t go any further and then it’s up to the player to decide if he wants to stay or not stay.

02 Jan 2022 19:54:56
Voice of reason as usual Tom.

03 Jan 2022 14:35:18
The point is not about forcing someone to sign new contract but to motivate and offer satisfying deal to the player. Failing to do it with 4 senior players is the problem.

03 Jan 2022 17:21:00
So I can only assume you don’t think it’s important for the club to be satisfied with any player contract?

Or maybe, run the risk of p•ssing off other players who consider themselves to be of more value than any of the CB’s by paying them ridiculous salaries.

If the club puts a notional value on a player, I’m not sure why it would exceed that valuation.

03 Jan 2022 19:17:49
Tom too right, obviously certain players ( or their agents) have inflated ideas of their value. It’s unfortunate that we have a number of CBs out of contract at the same the time but the club have been looking at it for some time. As you keep saying the club will make an offer, the player’s agent will make a demand and no doubt both sides have a red line and if there is no agreement, so be it. If Christensen and Rudiger are not happy they will leave: neither is irreplaceable. Silva has signed a one year extension and published a nice statement about Chelsea. Class on the pitch: class off the pitch.
