Ed can you confirm rice will not be moving to chelsea sick of seeing his name on here he's a West ham player but his named s mentioned more than anyone else.

It is very clear that Rice will not join us. Been said lots of times. Sadly, 1 or 2 on here are in love with him and maybe need to follow him rather than us? he will end up at Man U so I guess they wil end up on their page. Like you, I find it a bit strange having a love in with a rival clubs player.

I don’t see anything odd in Chelsea supporters admiring players from other clubs and wanting the good ones to join our club.
I seem to remember one of the Ed’s saying that Rice and Bellingham will be different class for England for years to come. Subject to Southgate not mucking it up.
I can’t see us signing Rice and that’s why in recent months I’ve referred to us signing a “Rice type player” if possible and that’s only because I would us to play with a back four.
I’ve seen many references to Rice having been a Lamps preference but I also read recently that TT is now admirer but that doesn’t mean he wants to sign him.
Unfortunately I’m sure he will be playing for another Premiership side and they will be the stronger for it in my opinion.

I’ve previously stated I would also like Rice or a Rice type player. If that is Tchouameni then so be it he is quality too. As much as I’d like to see us bite the bullet with Rice and sign him I can’t see the club spending a massive amount on a former academy product.
So finger crossed we can get Tchouameni over the line ready for the summer.

Tom b you and some others have always band rice name here even when he's not our player. Point is that I don't see him joining us because the fees will be too much that alternatives will always win out. he will almost cost up to 100m which of course is outrageous. Besides Ed has told us who our priority is for the position. Lampard was the driver then but unfortunately he's gone u doubt will be too. Please you guys should just give it a rest here. the repetitive mention of the player us actually very boring to the rest of us. if he's more interesting to you please follow him at the hammers and allow us space here to support our own players.

I gave up hope of us signing Rice sometime ago Blueblood and only use his name to describe the sort of player and player style I would like to join our club.
It seems to me his name is mainly used in a descriptive way by most fans nowadays.
Just as an add on, the cost of any player is down to the club to decide as far as I’m concerned. I couldn’t care less about any fee or salary.

All about opinions and alternatives have been mentioned and he seem to be one of the more likely signings.
I still want Haaland (not going to happen)
I would also like Kounde (may happen)
I would have liked Torres pre Euro’s but I have to admit his performances didn’t give me a great deal of confidence in his ability to be a Premiership success.

Have I missed something? What a strange discussion around fans being sick of Declan Rice’s popularity on this Chelsea forum! I am going to take a different tack. I am sick of the player bingo that is played on here, day in day out. Every player from Spain, thru France to Italy via Germany, Scandinavia. From full backs to midfielders, strikers, to wide players, centre backs and everything else in between. I watched Chelsea play Chesterfield at the weekend and the boy Hall was just terrific, really convincing. A great physique, great attitude and played with intelligence. Did I read one compliment? No. I came on here and read the usual rubbish around can Chelsea sign this one or that one. What is wrong with giving this boy another game? and before anybody comes on and says “steady it was only Chesterfield” let me say this and it pains me to mention it. Werner was shocking, really poor, btw he nearly missed that chance he scored from 2 yards the defender was a heartbeat off of kicking it off his toe. As for Ziyech MOM do me a bleedin favour.

I hadn’t realised that Ziyech had been name MOM.
The lad Hall looks a good prospect and as I’m a fan of the loan system I guess that is what will happen next in the young man’s career and I think it will bring him massively.
I have no problems with posters putting up players that in there opinion our club should be interested in.
I sometimes look at clips of the players mentioned and that’s always interesting.
It’s all just banter and opinions from people who generally want the best for our club, The Champions of Europe.

Stephen there were posts complimenting Hall ‘s performance. But this is the thing, we have good young players in the a academy but very few will become top class Premier League players. Every time one of young players have a good game they are the next best thing. Football is littered with young players who showed great talent and fell by the wayside. ; as you said Hall is a boy. Even if he is good enough he won’t be in the first team for three years or so.

People on here are ok to write what they want and when they want without abuse, if people want to talk about who they would like in this transfer window then that’s ok, they can talk about there favourite plays, they can talk about performances who are you to tell people they need to go to other sites because they mention a player from another team, scroll past it if you don’t like it.

As far as Rice is concerned, West Ham are not going to sell him anytime soon: they are pricing him out of the market. He is still young and if he chooses he can run his contract down and decide where he wants to go. West Ham may live to regret it.

Jeez Jimbo? You and I should never meet for a beer. We would be going at it hammer and tong! Great post around Rice, hellish posts around our YA players. Three years for Hall? Really?! If he plays a handful of games at that level, that would be handful more than Werner, or Ziyech or Bosingwa or Barkley or Zappacosta or Alonso. There is something admirable about a football club that promotes from within. Chelsea FC are now at the top table of world football, and this hellish recruitment for middling players has to stop. No problem making really big signings to compliment Chelsea’s brilliant academy. this constant middle of the road rubbish that is bought drives me nuts and is in fact blocking excellent young talent.
