Don't like to come on here and post anything negative but for me a few things from the game:

1) I think we actually look worse with Lukaku in the side. It's like the lads either don't trust to pass to him or don't know what type of ball into him we should play. Whoever said his hold up play has improved, it would be hard for it to be any worse. I don't know whether it's tactics or him but not once did I see him come short or get us up the pitch

2) I think TT got it wrong. Ziyech and Pulisic shouldn't have started. Both were shocking. We lacked Mounts energy all game. I've never had a negative about the manager until today but it just didn't work. I know there are injuries, CV, fitness etc. and perhaps that played a part in selection, who knows

3) can't believe I'm saying this but we actually missed Jorginho. Time and time again we gave possession away in midfield. We missed his calming influence and ability to dictate the play.

Other than that, same result as I thought before the game. I'd hoped we'd play a little better though. You get beat fair and square, fair enough but going forward that's the worst I've seen us this season.

2 massive games next week. We really need to keep that gap between us and 4th!

Dan when has ziyech ever been good in a chelsea shirt? were way off the pace bud and way off the level city have got too, it takes time, tuchel needs backing there is 7 or 8 players in our squad who i believe are no were near good enough but that's just my opinion and its been fairly obvious to me this season im right given the gap in the league table and the battering we got twice off city.

Interesting post dan.

The Lukaku point is valid but I would make this observation.

We just short of £100mil for a goalscorer and then don’t play to his strengths.

Surely when we signed him we understood how would have to play to get the best out of him?

fair enough we don't play to his strentghs but tom the guy can't even hold up a ball for gods sake.

Tommo, he has never been able to hold up the ball and that’s why I didn’t want us to sign him.

His first touch has slightly improved but seeing as he had the first touch of a brick wall at Utd and Everton it had to.

He wants and needs the ball played to his sides and down the channels. Surely we knew that when we signed him?

{Ed001's Note - that is offensive to brick walls!}

Your on fire Ed.

{Ed001's Note - I have never understood how a player can reach Premier League and international football with such poor basic technique. He should be embarrassed and ashamed that he is too lazy to put in the effort on his own back to improve it. A player with such a huge deficiency that he does nothing to work on for himself is one that I would never ever want at my club. It shows a lack of self-discipline and lack of care that will only transmit to others.}

I agree completely Ed but as a fan of my club and once he joined he instantly became a top CF.

We all love to hear how players stay behind after a training sessions to improve there skills.

I’m sure some go straight around to the chip shop!

{Ed001's Note - for me a player has to earn the right to be a top player every time he puts on the shirt, more so when they are privileged to play for the club I support. They don't just instantly get worshipped, they have to deserve it. Giving players an easy ride they haven't deserved is why so many live in fantasy island and think the world owes them a living.}

Is there a chip shop on “fantasy island”?

{Ed001's Note - and a good dealer.}
