As each week goes by we move closer to having a new owner.

I haven't got a clue who that owner will be but I'm sure they will not put up the reported £1mil per week Roman was splashing out.

I'm convinced that understandably it will be run as a business and not as a hobby.

These reported new owners we are told are all super rich people but that doesn't mean they will spend their money without an expected return.

I think a ground rebuild or improvement will be actives asap to bring in extra weekly revenues.

There could be an initial spend on new signings but again in my opinion and understandably after that things will change.

Lads we have had the sugar, milk and honey over the last few years I think we should be prepared for the sweetener's thereafter.

Blimey Tom, at least give the new owners, whoever they may be, a chance to share their mission statement!

G8, it’s just my view and I think most posters would see me as a positive poster and to a certain extent I still feel positive about our new owners. After all they are buying a club with zero debt.

I just think that fans should be prepared for things to change over the coming years and I also think that’s understandable.

I will greet any mission statement by any new owner with a pinch of salt. It will also be interesting to see if season ticket prices go up and if the very generous concessions remain in place.

Luckily we don't need too many new players brought in. Just use Cobham and we'll be fine for the most part.

I think one goalkeeper, three defenders, at least two midfield players one wide player and one forward will be leaving.

I’m not sure we can cover all those positions from Cobham or our loan players.

I agree Jackson, we have some serious young talent in the academy. Dave has agreed a contract extension Today as well. With our loan players potentially returning we really don't need much more to keep us at the top table. Roman has been brilliant for the club but one area we have lacked in is player recruitment at times. Lukaku at £97m when we had Broja being a prime example. I hope we look at Liverpool's recruitment strategy and try to find the developing players as well as the ready made players. We are in a good place and I refuse to accept unfounded comments that we shall not compete at the top table until the new owners have been given a fair chance.
My opinion of course and clearly different to Toms.

G8, I haven’t said we won’t compete at “the top table” and as I mentioned I think we will make some strong signings in the next window, subject to any deal being completed in time.

I have said many times in previous posts that I think 8/ 9 players could be leaving this window but I also stressed that I don’t think we will be signing an equivalent amount of players.

I think we have at least four players from our loan and academy who can be real stars for us next season.

None of us know what will happen with the new owners, it will probably take a couple of years for us to work it out. I’m not as optimistic about academy players as some of you are. I’m not sure what competing at the top table means: if it means closing the gap on City and Liverpool that will depend on the make up of our squad at the start of next season, we will have to wait and see.

we just need to spend right. and as much as it hard to say. Liverpool seem to get it right most of the time. Their recent signing have been superb.
