What an odd performance. Pre-game you can understand why TT made the changes he did as it’s been a intense, tough few games recently, but you can see that the players filling in the gaps just aren’t at the level required.

Way too many mistakes has cost us again but the overall performance was way below par.
Lukaku, good player when used correctly, unfortunately it’s just not working out, what do we do with a very expensive player in a market where pretty much no one will take him for near what we paid for?

Another tough game on the weekend against the Hammers, lose and we are dragged back into the top 4 race.

its not our money so why should we care what happens he's a flop whos made us a poorer side when he plays, the debts are clear for new owners so in a way if lukaku fee is cleared then it costs them nothing if we flogged him for 50 million.

I've got no clue what's happened to Christensen, but if he's mentally checked out already before his move this summer then he probably shouldn't get another minute. Terrible display again tonight, and he basically kickstarted Arsenal's energy by gifting Nketiah a goal.
Sarr was abysmal. But I can't even blame the guy. He's not good enough for intense matches like that, and it showed again tonight. But he's not the one deciding to be thrown in like that out of the blue. Blame goes to Tuchel for that one.

I don't understand the decision to have Reece as CB with Azpi at wingback either. I know he scored, but Azpi doesn't provide enough threat on the ball to play wingback. Again a strange choice by Tuchel.

All in all, Chelsea gifted Arsenal a few goals, after which the ref gifted them another by awarding a penalty. I still don't quite get the point of VAR. Saka holds and drags Azpi's arm, then goes to ground, and that warrants a penalty? Refs have a difficult job, so the ref on the pitch perhaps had a bad view. It happens. But shouldn't VAR intervene then and say it's clearly the wrong decision? Not that it would've changed the result, Arsenal would've still won. But things like that just make it all the worse. Though I will admit the ref perhaps showed mercy for Sarr's horror show. Could've sent him off with a 2nd yellow for that foul on Cedric (where he waved advantage) .

It wouldn't have changed the result but you both need to watch that penalty decision again. It was an absolute con from Saka – holding Azpi's arm in his armpit the whole way so he literally couldn't get away from him, then going down. Azpi is trying to pull away, which is why he was furious afterwards. The VAR refs should absolutely have spotted it.
