Never a dull moment with Chelsea.

Ratcliffe with a bid from the ether!

I assume this will push back the sale of the club again.

What I don’t understand is why he has left it so late?

He would get extra loyalty points on his season ticket if he leaves it late.

Very strange for a bloke who has supposedly made several statements of no interest and if I remember correctly also saying the club was overpriced.

Maybe he was saving up his pocket money.

Ed002; my man- what is happening? Will it be Jim Radcliffe or Todd Boehly consortium (will be the Chelsea new owner)? Please what is development.

No way there we dates and times for the bids to be placed surely he’s not aloud this late on.

Nibb, presumably it’s up to the Raine Group and RA they set the deadlines.

I worked for one of his companies and was at a Q&A session he held, this is a few years back. I never had the cojones to ask him about potential purchase of CFC, but I was told that the project building a stadium etc would take 10 years and he is late 60s and was concerned that it was too late for him to get it where he wanted, which might be second btw, ? he is a United fan.

Stephen I agree it’s all very strange: it wouldn’t take 10 years to redevelop the stadium. Anyway I think the bid has come too late: the one thing I don’t like about the Boehly bid is this Swiss bloke who has no interest in football, only profit.

I think the reference to ten years is a bit of a red herring.

Whoever takes us over we as supporters will only be able to judge the owners after a few seasons.

They will all make promises and I would like to believe those promises are sincere but when it comes to investors I will always assume they are looking for a return on that investment and that is perfectly reasonable.

Let’s make our judgements at a later date.
