About CMs: Saul is not staying, Jorgihno might possibly leave. Gallagher and Gilmour are back but I am not sure that Gilmour is good enough for Chelsea. Probably one CM has to be signed.

That’s just midfield and defence, let alone forwards, huge rebuild, big window of players needed. This is why I think we need to look to free transfers.

It wasn't that long ago we wanted Jorgi gone to keep Gilmour, now he's not good enough?
Granted, he hasn't had an amazing season at Norwich, but come on, Norwich we're awful. He played 24 PL games, from what I can see. His type of play didn't suit that squad at all.
He's in the Scotland squad, as a started too. It's unfair to judge him based on a season in a bad Norwich side.

Ampadu has had a good loan Gilmour want. Keep Ampadu as rotation he might surprise a lot like Chalobah did. Gilmour on loan maybe Everton under Frank would be good or somewhere like Brighton.
Sign Rice or Tchouameni and keep one of Jorgi or Kante.

Ed’s said we’re not interested in rice, and tchoumeni deal we’re probably missed out on as his close to Madrid move, we’re back to square one. Linked to players like rabiot. 27 and always been bit part player.

Tchouameni is of interest bit likely going elsewhere. Saul is being replaced by Connor G.
We will only look at another midfielder if any leave. TT has stated how much he likes RLC so I expect him to stay as a squad player.
I do think Kante might, sadly, move on to a new challenge so that would leave 1 place to be filled by either Ampadu, Billy or a new signing.
Our main priorities are defenders and it will be interesting to see how TT shapes up. If it is with a back 4 then a midfield starting 3 of Jorghi sitting with Connor and Kovacic either side would be pretty decent.

Things change fast in football if Tchouameni does go to Madrid the club and Tuchel might reconsider their options. i've heard from various different people Tuchel is an admirer of Rice. New owner might mean new targets so we'll see.
Jorginho as the last holding midfielder shows a lot about you're knowledge of football G8 but if i do remember correctly you had a team for next year with Werner on the wing in a 4-3-3 who has no technical ability whatsoever so im not surprised.
RLC has had years here and still hasn't done anything consistently and with Gallagher returning now is the time to move him on while we can. Especially if Sarri wants him at Lazio.

West Ham behave apparently said £150m which we all know they’ve inflated to scare off, but he has 3 years on his current deal with West Ham having option of 4th year,

Yes I see your point antibot and I would rather see Kante stay but I have a feeling he will go. Jorghi can play the deep midfield role like Pirlo did with Kovacic and Connor G in front of him. Can dictate the tempo of the game. I would also keep young Billy for the same reason. The days of old fashioned holding midfielders like Obi have long gone.

Ed unfortunately some of the media (even the fairly good reporters) love to link Chelsea with Rice and wl quote price tags no matter how untrue.
It's irritating even for me.
