We really need to make waves in this transfer window because last year was a let down for me regarding 'well most of the season to be fare am not interested in Club World Cup or whatever you want to call it. Am bothered about the premier league that's who's the best for me to go all year and come out top that's what I want, and we are miles away from city 20+ points and in every area on the field and now with haaland even further. Just the same with Liverpool as well, the quality of player just isn't there.
We need to make massive waves but not sure we will I don't like TT which most of you know but if he's in charge they must back him.

Think you are being a bit harsh tbh… we were top of the league at one point last season then chillwell injury. Reece James injured, lukaku and timo injured…. Chalobah… C.V. aswell and I don’t think it’s brought up enough honestly. We were looking the team to beat until that snowballing effect. I’m under no illusions we do need to strengthen though.

11 Jun 2022 08:06:17
Liverpool could only beat us on penalties!

11 Jun 2022 09:31:31
But beat us all teams have had injuries 20 points off can’t remember last time we where that far off maybe when Jose got sack 2nd time?

11 Jun 2022 11:19:16
Nibb you’re right we lost both finals against Liverpool, 20 points behind and just above Spurs. At the moment it’s City/ Liverpool and the rest. Buying City rejects isn’t going to change anything.

It’s not our record against the other top 4, it’s getting maximum points from Burnley, Brentford Brighton , wolves Everton , it’s these games and consistency throughout season, there games that city and Liverpool take 6 points of in a season 9/ 10, Sterling for a reported minimum of 40m when he will be free next season doesn’t make sense to me, Jesus would be ok player, can play wide or central, he did ok for City but went 20 odd games for Brazil without a goal,

Just take the lessons of last season on board and move on.

Approx half our squad for next will be returning loan players and fresh signings.

Little point in using comparisons but TT will have his work cut out getting the players to play as a team quickly!

Tom, is it going to be that different next season. The only loanee with a good chance of making a breakthrough is Gallagher, Broja and BG are not ready. Depending on how many CBs we bring in Colwill might have a shout. We need aCM and a goal scorer. I assume Emerson will return but no cover for James as of yet, it will be difficult for us with effectively a brand new defence and a dodgy keeper to boot.

11 Jun 2022 16:06:36
That’s what I’m saying Jimbo.

Obviously I want us to hit the ground running and will start the season with my usual high expectations but u also think TT will have earn his corn to get so many new players playing as a team, particularly early in the season.

I would like Emerson back in our squad, always thought he was better than Alonso but I think he could well be leaving.

11 Jun 2022 17:24:39
Well if Alonso and Emerson leave definitely need backup for Chilwell- anything can happen after such a long term injury, we need to either bring someone in or identify Maatsen as backup- same goes for James.

11 Jun 2022 19:07:38
It could be we end up with Sterling and Maatsen in the squad for the start of next season.

{Ed002's Note - there is interest in both from elsewhere.}

11 Jun 2022 20:03:24
I’m assuming they would both be loans Ed?

{Ed002's Note - If you want.}

11 Jun 2022 20:33:42
I want them both to stay in the squad but we don’t always get what we want.

{Ed002's Note - Ideally the club would like to but there is a complication.}

Thanks, as always Ed.
