A lot of reports claiming Poch walked partly because of the clubs decision to cash in on Trev and Connor. If true, fair play to Poch for standing his ground. The 2 lads have been a massive part of our upturn in form and know exactly what it means to wear that badge.

I'm massively frustrated, it's tarnished a positive end to the season. The managerial merry go round continues. Yeah the money, London, history etc. is a big pull for a manager but in terms of their CV, I'd stay well clear of us. You'd be forever looking over your shoulder to see if you'd even last a year.

Sounds like the board want a Yes Man to come in, that's instantly makes it hard for the fans to connect. There's no point us even having a preference as no "manager" will be given the job, it'll be a "coach".

Agree1 Disagree1

Dan, like Poch any new manager will be well aware of the clubs structure.

I have no idea if our structure will stop any potential new manager joining. I think it will be more about quality managers being wanted by other clubs and therefore in short supply.

Very true Dan. Like Drogba said, 'I no longer recognise my club'

22 May 2024 13:14:39
I’m not sure why you don’t recognise it?

It’s not as if sacking a manager is unique to our current owners.

22 May 2024 14:11:48
What exactly is the'structure' any manager has to buy into at CFC? I have expfressed my concerns about gthis in separate posting.

22 May 2024 14:28:01
JBS, not knowing the structure personally doesn’t bother me but I can only assume that any appointed manager would fully understand the PB, structure and his own job description.

22 May 2024 15:14:02
I am sure ther would be a job cdescription but might not always accurately describe exactly how it will work in practice of course ie once in the job. But yes POch may have gone inyto it with eyes wide open but hoping to change things and learnt he couldn't. Or learnt that he didn't want to or couldn't work within the structure.

22 May 2024 15:40:17
JBS, we are all just guessing about the reasons for this mutual divorce.

It could be relationships, control, parameters, performance or even injuries. I think we will just just drive ourselves bonkers trying to understand.

Poch has now gone, I’m not happy but it’s something I’ve grown accustomed to over the last 20-30 years! Now it’s all over to our new manager!

22 May 2024 16:43:09
Well yes you're right and what is done is done but this has undermined my expectations be putting itfor next season. Unhappy at what has happened far too mild way of describing my current mood. I'm furious. But one will always have the hopes.

We can but wonder though how long any strong minded and self-confident manager - and surely the good ones have to be both - might expec to last at CFC. Though I suppose it has to be about how good they are at managing upwards as well as well as downwards.

C'est la CFC Vie!

JBS, like you I crave stability and success and also like you I’m p@ssed off that Poch wasn’t given more time but as the statement says it’s a mutual agreement so its hard to definitively blame the owners.

We now move on to yet another manager. I think he will be presented to us very soon. Good luck to whoever it is.

22 May 2024 18:33:34
Poch couldn't bear being a puppet anymore. Responsible for everything without right to have a say on incomings and outgoings. Fair enough ?. I really respect him now.
I can sign every word KDrog has written.

22 May 2024 19:10:37
TheBlue, you have no idea if that is truly why Poch and the club reached a mutual agreement to part company.

He knew what the gig was before he signed up to it. Similarly the club should have made sure Poch was the right man to work within there system. ’.
