From media reports it sounds like it is between Amorim (Sporting), McKenna (Ipswich) and Maresca (Leicester) .
Personally I can't see what Maresca has done to warrant being in these discussions. He let a 20-odd point lead slip with by far the best squad in the Championship.
Presumably McKenna will end up as our manager at some point, especially if he goes to Brighton first.

Yes McKenna a cert if he could move to Brighton and take them into top 6.

Neither have the experience needed for a club like Chelsea.
I think if either are appointed, Stamford Bridge will be a toxic place next season.

As I’ve mentioned in a previous post the departure of Poch has given me a reason to look at our potential manager pool.
Strangely I can see a logic in appointing Maresca.

Maresca could be an interesting appointment. Would of learnt under Pep. Huge gamble of course.

The fact that two championship managers are even in the discussion shows what depths the Muppets running our club have taken us to currently.
And Ed001 has summarised the another candidate very succinctly.
What an embarrassing circus we have become.

Arteta had less managerial experience!
22 May 2024 16:04:47
So did Pep when he took over Barca.

Arteta hasn't won anything of note despite being backed and having an input in the transfer market and Pep is a one off.
We are talking about Championship not Champions league levels of experience.
It's a poisoned chalice for any young manager who will need to deliver CL football next season or
be sacked.
I would be surprised if one of them lasts beyond Xmas should they be appointed.
This is only being considered because better options don't get the project as Ed002 has said about a number of transfer targets.

The lib has an expectation of champions league and any appointed manager will be aware of the club’s ambitions.
I think the choice will be made quickly and if it was to be Maresca good luck to him.
He has worked for a quality regime and did well in a lower division last season. It looked like Leicester were going to be crowned champions at Christmas but his team went through a rough patch and he found a solution and in the end they got what they deserved.
Anyway, my two choices are Houness and Amroin.
