Just read McKenna will wait on United before Chelsea. That's one definite red flag for the board we don't want to be 2nd choice especially for a championship manager.
Really hope we pull something out of nowhere for new manager as I'm very underwhelmed and disappointed right now. May as well have kept Poch.

Mckenna has obviously got United ties and is clearly going to leave Ipswich it's an easy jump for journos to make no idea if it's true. Before appointing anyone would see if Xavi would be interested, agree that there are no managers out there that give me a great deal of confidence.
Should of done more to keep Poch but he wanted to go.

Not disagreeing with you standard the days of having the top manager has gone for a while, who would you choose?
Agree xavi not ideal but would rather him than the Leicester guy or Mckenna not sure there are many top managers around.

Mourinho. Players need a manager who's not going to be nice guy, and will get what's expected from them. He's the onlu choice for me.

Player power where players downed tools. I would have backed him and got rid of the players who didn't want to play for him. There were a few 'snakes' that season, I think the players were referred too as.
Mourinho is chelsea. He's the obvious, and best suited candidate. But with the owners and there 'advisors' I've lost a whole lot of faith.

The report on Jose that came out when he left was as follows.
He was asked how he was going to turn things around and his reply was “i don’t know. ” He then got sacked.
I’ve never been sure if that is a true report or just more media crap.
I have not got a clue who the “snakes” were and I doubt any poster has a clue who they were either.
