Olise? what a player, came through our academy, wants to play alongside his brother one day. I really like this one if it comes off? The sporting directors are doing a fantastic job.

G8,

We need an experienced CF as a priority, Oliver is a nice to have, but not essential.

13 Jun 2024 10:45:43
I realise G8 is trolling again but it shows just what a scattergun approach we have to building the squad.
We have two players similar to Olise already plus Paez next year so that would make four.
In the meantime we have one central striker plus Nkunku
These are all rumours but more serious than most, so explain spending £60m on a position we have cover in and £30/ 40m on a promising kid with little PL experience?
We need more experience in striking department before considering any other additions.

13 Jun 2024 11:37:06
I can only assume that some posters know exactly what players we will require going forward.

I personally have zero idea if the likes of Sterling or Mudryk will be at the club next season. Therefore I have no idea what players we need to sign.

13 Jun 2024 11:56:56
You do realise Sterling and Mudryk play an entirely different role to the players I mentioned?
And I presume you are not disputing we need another striker?

13 Jun 2024 11:59:51
Not trolling Kdrog, just commenting. Posters like myself who are positive about the progress of the club seem to get knocked back by you and a select few others! For what it's worth I don't mind the name calling and do enjoy the banter.

13 Jun 2024 12:00:51
Sometimes I don't what exactly Chelsea are doing. They seem not to want to do tge needful. From last season, it was obvious tge team lacks leaders and experience but not much is done in the regard. experience is seriously needed at the back and the striker. So when I see Duran as a striker target I does my head.
I know targets change overtime and I have not given up on osihmen. We need him and should do all to get him. He's a warrior like Costa.
I hope we will get another cb with experience this summer.

13 Jun 2024 12:45:53
Drog, you do realise I was talking generally about players leaving and joining.

You presume correct and I assume you are aware that as I said days ago, I think we will sign more than one CF type player.

13 Jun 2024 14:01:21
Kdrog, nothing wrong with wanting olise. He's proven to be a fantastic player. In hindsight, we'd have not signed one of Madueke/ Mudryk, and kept Hudson-odoi who is probably better or atleast as good as them two, and then upgraded this season with a proven player.

Unfortunately to me it also seems we have a scattergun approach instead of a calculated transfer plan.

13 Jun 2024 14:08:19
I'm glad you're satisfied with the owners G8 and what they've done, personally, a billion pounds spent and a regression from 3rd to 11th and 6th is not something to be satisfied and impressed with but that's just me.

You're allowed your opinion and you're not wrong, however since the owners coming in, I supported the sterling and Koulibaly moves, and couldn't be upset at the owners because I also thought they were good pick-ups.

Since then, I've disagreed with a massive amount of the recruitment, many of which, thus far, have proven to be dissapointing and predictable.

Many, many people were confused at our 100m signing of enzo. Not a bad player, but one successful WC shouldn't deem a club to spend that amount on a player who hasn't backed it up. That transfer, thus far anyway, hasn't gone well. Especially considering Gallagher has massively, massively outperformed him.

Madueke/ mudryk were predictable, not bad players and very raw but not needle movers and probably not better than what we already had.

Sanchez was ridiculous, i think even you'd imagine that.

And fofana, disasi, the 4 midfeildeds signed (ugo, caicedo, lavia santos) who are all the same age, and all need football to improve was just silly.

There's a lot more but that's my opinions. Me, and ither peoples beliefs that are in line with mine, is not 'abuse' and certainly doesny warrant all the rubbish you said against me a couple months ago.

I don't hold grudges, and I don't really care, but I continue to see you doing it to others mate. Everyone's opinions are valid and onlu that, opinions. Otherwise what else is the forum for? We all support the club.

13 Jun 2024 14:58:21
G8, just because people disagree doesn’t mean they knocking you back. Olise is a good player but I too question the need for another wide player when it is clear we need to strengthen in other areas unless he is a replacement for someone who is moving on.

13 Jun 2024 15:10:28
I'm very thick skinned and don't give a feck what you or any other poster thinks about me or my posts. I post as I like and generally try to put some substance behind my comments. I try not to be rude or offensive but will jump all over needless comments and abuse aimed at the owners, sporting directors and players. At the end of the day this is a forum for boys and girls from every corner of the globe to post all matters Chelsea. We don't know and never will know each other and could in fact be any of the above? Are you a girl from Australia or a boy from Liverpool? Who knows? who cares? Anyway, good wishes to all who post, be in utter rubbish or informed comment.

Standard, we finished 3rd with two centre halves out of contract a CM who didn’t want to extend his contract and a CF who didn’t want to play for the club.

I’m only guessing that the then manager was at least asked about the signings of Sterling, KK and PEA.

The new owners have admitted to making mistakes and tried to rectify the problems with some young exciting new signings.

For me Enzo and Mudryk still have a lot to prove but I’m more than happy with Gusto, Noni, Caicedo, Petrovic, Ugo, Jackson and Palmer. Also, trust me. Lavia will be a top player for Chelsea.

13 Jun 2024 16:49:40
G8, there is no room for abuse but we are all grown-ups ( I presume) so there should be room for questioning or criticism by posters and God forbid, the odd bit of humour. If people what to be part of a love bubble, I suggest they become “Swifties” .

13 Jun 2024 20:10:24
I see positives going into next season. Think the owners wanted to take apart the team, and buy some of the best talent about. Poch drove for a season while we gelled together. We started plying well, this will only carry on. Now we’ve got a long term manager with decent tactical abilities. Hopefully he’ll sell a few of the players, and bring in what we need. Loans for others. I’m excited now, last year was hard to watch sometimes.

13 Jun 2024 20:50:49
Think olise is the best signing possible, he is literally phenomenal, can’t knock the directors if they pull it off,

what RW do we think will do best at Chelsea in time, Madueke olise palmer paez estevazo Hutchinson?

14 Jun 2024 03:37:00
Did you just assume my gender g8? ?.

14 Jun 2024 03:50:08
I thought Paez played more as a CM/ AM? I like the signing of Olise (if it happens) but do think we’d need to offload Sterling for it to make sense as we’re fairly well stocked in terms of numbers for the RW/ AM, although I’d argue Olise is better than all the options we have bar Palmer.

This idea that we’re only going to buy Olise and not buy a ST or reinforce other areas of the squad seem quite baffling tbf. It’s not as though the current owners and sporting structure seem to have an issue with buying players in large numbers ?? unfortunately the striker options are rather thin on the ground this summer. Sesko seemed to be the main target but has signed an extension and is staying. Gykoreres who was a target at one point is doing the same most likely. Osimhen is extremely expensive both in transfer fee, wages and agent fee and might have a better offer from PSG regardless. At which point there’s not really a massive standout. I’d want Martinez at Inter but that’s v v v unlikely and I don’t think we’re interested. Toney I’m not really convinced with. Gimenez at Feyenoord maybe? Jonathan David? Zirkzhee? Dobryk? Who would you suggest is a realistic ST that you’d want?

14 Jun 2024 09:02:49
Gimenez would be my choice as a goal scorer but I’m not sure he works hard enough for the premiership.

14 Jun 2024 11:01:58
Toney is arsenal bound and he'll probably top the scoring records next year in England. Marvellous striker.

14 Jun 2024 16:10:35
Toney to top the scoring charts, I wouldn’t bet on it.

14 Jun 2024 19:07:51
Tom, given the diminishing options the club should certainly have a look at Giminez.
