Thankyou again to my fellow posters for your comments on Jackson, it appears the jury is still out but the general consensus is to persevere with him and hope he continues to improve. I won't push this theme too much but can I ask for your opinions on Levi Colwill Today?

Very good player but only time will tell if he is going to become a Chelsea legend.

G8, Levi has all the attributes of a modern day CB, he has great potential and I want to see him start regularly in his natural position. Sometime I get the impression that he is not happy at the club.
On a separate issue, I must get my annual rant off my chest. The new home kit is absolutely dire, the worst ever. Whoever approved it should be shot.

I really think he is a top player, in my opinion the best defender we have. Would like him to be the next captain.

I think he’s really talented, he played pretty well at LB but would like him to pretty much start all games at LCB for this upcoming season. I think the issue will be finding the right partner for him at the back. Would have loved Scalvini or A. Silva or even Diomande but can’t see us signing anymore CB’s as we have Disasi/ Fofana/ Chalobah/ Tosin for the RCB position.

I felt he was short-changed this season being shuttled off to LB, but that's a topic for another day. It probably will benefit him a bit in the long term, mind.
You could say this about almost every player at Chelsea, but he could use a full season free of injuries and playing alongside the same partner to become more comfortable. He has shown glimpses of proper leadership which bodes well. I think he is probably the defender with the most potential in the first team squad and I'd like the new manager to trust in him.
In a perfect world, I think he and Fofana would provide a very solid partnership, but it remains to be seen if either can stay fit all season.
Southgate should have taken him to the Euros simply because he's a left footed defender.
