Good day everyone, please there's something I have been wondering about Chelsea for next season so I want to seek in sights from anyone. I have never watched maresca style and don't know what to expect from players we have. From some snippets I have seen here, it looks like he's no much different from the poch.
So please can any of the eds share any info on this.

Possession based and positional, players will have repeated drills knowing when and where they should be.
433 but with ball a full back goes into midfield, midfield base is the passes ( think Jorginho / Sarri ) and other two are 8’s, so more attacking midfielders, he likes the goalkeeper to be great on the ball so the keeper will actually go stand between defenders to create overloads, wingers he likes to start wide and very focused on 1v1 opportunities, striker, some say he likes then to drop and again outnumber midfield and others say he like the striker to be a box striker to attack near posts and be a finisher. But always be hard working and press from front, doesn’t focus on crossing but statistically when Leicester did cross the were quite successful with it, because of his set up defensively they don’t concede a lot. But issues Leicester fans had were the frustration of possession football, lots of passing around defence and not going anywhere,
So when it doesn’t work it can be frustrating, when it works it will look phenomenal,

Kdrog, so someone just below a World Cup winning manager and couple down from one of greater club managers in football history, very good endorsement, I’m not sure he will be as good but still looking forward to the season starting.

Matt, thank you for answering a fellow poster. Rather than given a negative response.

It's absolutely delusional to call a novice manager one step down from Pep.
He's a championship manager with 12 months experience who struggled to get the strongest squad promoted.
He shouldn't have been within a country mile of our club.

We’re “all doomed. ”
My god I hope our new manager is successful. I for one will be giving him my full support.

I was joking, just making light of fact you’ve written him off before a training session has taken place, hopefully you won’t be one to mention disconnect between manager and fans when you’ve made your mind up already, I won’t pretend it’s not underwhelming but he done well with a good Leicester side, Leeds had just as good team and didn’t even get promotion so that’s slightly flawed, he has a style and maybe this style gets best out of a few players, who knows, I say it every year, judge a team manager, 8-12 games into premier league season.
