A fair few not travelling to the USA including Bashir, Caisedy, David Fofana, Washington, Kellyman, Burstow, Gilchrist and of course Big Trev. Looks like loans and sales for them. Petrovic injured. Nice to see Tyrique George and Josh Acheampong included.
22 Jul 2024 22:22:10
Gutted about big Trev not going, his performances last season earned him the right to be going to USA.
He will clearly be sold and I don’t think Id be the only one to much rather see Badashille or Disasi go before him.
I think loans for Gilchrist and Casedei will do them the world of good.

Can't believe we're going to start the season with Sanchez as first choice again. Whatever, at this point. No point in having an opinion as the club are going to do whatever they want anyway, regardless of how bonkers it seems.
23 Jul 2024 00:14:41
Badashille is for me the one that truly isn’t good enough at all unfortunately.
23 Jul 2024 02:37:32
Us fans all have different opinions about most players, so the club will always struggle to make a percentage of fans happy.
23 Jul 2024 09:02:08
What should have been a new dawn, is turning into a nightmare apart of the season.
First we have the Enzo issue, then we have reports our no1 goalkeeper will be shipped out and Sanches will be the no 1 (my goodness) now Chabs is been ostracised and has been left out of our USA squad, I know who I would leave behind, Fofana as he will injure himself getting of the plane.
Still no experience striker but not to worry we are still signing kiddies in positions we don't need to fill.
The ownership and recruitment team are a total shambles.
23 Jul 2024 09:49:30
Bill, I don’t agree with all of what you have said. You are right though about our signings more kids and the others underwhelming. I was hoping for 3 top class signings including a keeper and striker. If the club truly want to embrace Maresca’s style of play the right type of keeper is integral to that. I said before and after Sanchez was signed that he was poor and couldn’t understand why we paid £25 million for him. As for Enzo that’s all down to him and that will rumble on no doubt.
23 Jul 2024 09:56:45
Bill, I disagree generally about our recruitment team. There are bound to be mistakes amongst the players we have signed, that is the same at every club. We won’t be able to truly access our squad until this window is over.
We may still end up with a new striker and goalkeeper in this window.
I wouldn’t sell Gallagher and Chalaboa but there are lots of fans who don’t rate Chalaboa and Gallagher hasn’t signed a new contract.
The owners have an impossible task to make fans happy as we all have different opinions about players and that includes managers and coaches.
I think the potential of the so called “kiddies” we have signed looks enormous but only time will tell if it’s been good business.
At any stage in the season fans can turn on players, managers and owners but I would like to think we will have a good ish season. A good solid start will be important and help get the fans onside.

Only time will tell if this has been a good window but the club have picked up some very good young players with Estevao Willian being the one who really excites me, albeit in 2025. I also like the profile of Veiga. KDH may just surprise a few as well. Also, the clearout has continued, Lukaku looks on his way, Kepa as well, Malang Sarr has gone as has Ziech. Those 4 were brought in by the previous owner for approx £200 plus million pound with huge wages as well. Were ANY of them a success?
23 Jul 2024 11:57:13
None of those 4 werexa success G8 and I agree with Williams and Paez.
I also agree with Tom that we have exciting youngsters however, how big is our squad now with youngsters and if we do get some experience it's going to be that more have to be loaned out.
For the life of me I do not get on the call on Sanches being no1, I get that goalkeepers nowadays play out from the back for for goodness sake they have to be able to give the defence confidence and more importantly be able to keep the ball out of the net, something Sanches has not read up on.
23 Jul 2024 12:40:41
G8, I am not against building for the future but most supporters are concentrating on next season. A third consecutive season without CL football would be painful and not good for the club. We shall see how the transfer window goes . I would like to see a few more departures.
23 Jul 2024 13:28:03
Some of the inclusions on that squad list are laughable.
Take the blue-tinted glasses off and think about what Sanchez, Viega, Mudryk, Angelo, Guiu represent.
23 Jul 2024 14:30:18
I’m very guilty of have blue tinted glasses and I can’t wait to see Viega, Guiu and Angelo this season. I still have hope for Mudryk and I think Sanchez will be good squad keeper.
Particularly Guiu who I think has more to offer than Broja.
23 Jul 2024 15:31:45
Bill, I totally agree we need a new first choice goalkeeper with the skillset to suit Maresca and I think that will happen. Jimbo, I agree we do need to get top 4 and this squad is good enouth to do that. We are also one of just two premier league clubs to have qualified for The Club World Cup which will guarantee tens of millions. Tom, like you I have blue tinted glasses, the same blue as that 1970 FA Cup shirt, proper Chelsea blue.
23 Jul 2024 18:28:04
Angelo, £13m, 0G 0A in 21 appearances.
Mudryk, £62m, 7G 4A in 60 appearances. 10 yellow cards.
Standards you know.
I would love to hear why you think Guiu, an obvious candidate for a couple loans and sale for a modest profit, is more promising than Broja? Pretty sure the club was telling everyone who would listen that he was worth £50m in January? Guiu was signed for £6m because Barcelona valued that more than keeping him around on modestly improved terms.
This time last year we were being told how Casadei and Santos were ready to take Gallagher's place. Casadei is now up for sale and Santos heading back to Strasbourg having made 1 appearance for Forest in half a year.
I want Maresca to succeed but let's look at it logically, he was second or third choice and this time last year the SDs were telling us how Poch was the best choice after a long and extensive search. Maresca is going to have more rope because at this point they need him to succeed, but even then I wouldn't bank on him seeing out the season.
23 Jul 2024 19:35:45
I’m surprised with casadei.
23 Jul 2024 20:19:50
I have only see guiunin clips and one game I found on line. He looked strong, mobile and his first touch was good. Also he is quick ish.
I have never rated Broja so my opinion is biased.
