Guiu remaining with the first team so a new ST is unlikely, which I think isn't bad at all.
Meanwhile a new GK is coming and I must admit I haven't watched him so I don't know if he is any good.
A new CB is also signing for us albeit he is going back on loan.
Still a few outgoings and incomings left I reckon.

Never seen the GK play before but heard good things about him. Would hope Sanchez leaves as I rate Petrovic as better. Is the CB Anselmino?
I’ve liked what little of Guiu I’ve seen so far so think keeping him for the season could turn out well if Maresca is willing to play him. No point him being in the squad if he only gets 2-5 mins a game etc.

I found loads of clips and a few old games I could scan. I hate to say this but in those snippets he reminded me of Mendy. He makes saves but the ball stays in play.
Of course his distribution looked very good and nowadays that seems to be the most important thing.
Anyway, I’m sure he will be one a legend.

No striker bought in isn’t bad thing? We haven’t replaced costa from 7 years ago, Jackson’s not prolific but did improve, more general play than in front of goal, and we’re relying on a player with 2 professional career goals? This clubs on its arse. Every year we do this, we need a striker.

Unfortunately Matt there is a distinct lack of Strikers that are available this summer. Everyone on here is crying out for one but will be in here in seconds complaining if the club goes out and spunks £100m on another Lukaku.

Matt I think Nkunku coming back could help bring out the best out of everyone especially Jackson. Guiu can surprise us too. Also I can see Mudryk and Noni het more goals as well. If Palmer can produce the way he did last season, we won't be in trouble in attack.

Lukaku the player is an upgrade on what we have, over 100 goals in premier league, goals in Italy, he didn’t get on with tuchel, tuchel who FWIW binned Lukaku tammy and giroud to play havertz up top, egos clashed,
Lukaku the person was petulant and ran his mouth about returning to inter,
What’s the alternative, unproven, less than 10 career goals u23 year olds like we will likely buy for huge money, ?

Matt, I don’t rate Lukaku so my opinion is biased. His first touch is criminal, he is lazy and is bang average in the air, plus as you say, he can’t keep his mouth shut.
He was a one dimensional rubbish signing that was made worse by a manager who never played to his strengths.
