Giui looks a very good prospect and Gusto had a good game on the left side as an inverted FB and defensively.

Another nice warm up to look forward to at the weekend. Hope we can put in another improved performance.

He was very good Tom. I was also very impressed with Lavia, he seems to have a bit of everything to his game. Hopefully he can stay fit and we get to see the best of him this season.

Hdkn, as I said at the beginning of last season, there were three players I was looking forward to seeing, Caicedo, Nkunku and Lavia. This season it’s like having two new signings.

I think Lavia will prove to be class.

I couldn’t agree more Tom.

Guiu has looked good so far. Nkunku and Lavia also looking top notch imo. Gusto good at inverted LB. Did seem like James got fairly far forward in this game instead of staying back. Madueke still seems to want to take every penalty regardless of who’s the penalty taker although at least he didn’t kick off this time when Nkunku took it.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with wanting to take the penalties Fuser. The issues arise when you refuse to listen to the hierarchy/ designated taker like last season. Nice to see he didn’t kick up a fuss, however I’m sure he was also less bothered to take one in a friendly, we will have to wait and see if he behaves accordingly in such a situation in a competitive fixture. However I’d have no issue with him picking up the ball for a pen, as long as he accepts the decision without fuss, when/ if he is told no.

Cech I’m pretty sure they’re told who the penalty takers are and it isn’t a decision made there and then by the coach. He should know he’s 1st/ 2nd/ 3rd etc in the list. It’s not really a massive deal and he didn’t kick up a fuss this time but I think it shows disrespect to your team mates and the coach.

To be fair to Noni, it was a good penalty.

Fuser, I’m inclined to disagree with you there mate. I can think of numerous occasions in the past where the penalty has been given to someone else that isn’t the usual taker, not just with Chelsea but lots of times. However I would say that it’s usually only when there is a comfortable lead and/ or the other player can potentially get a hattrick etc.
