Porto has managed to sign SO when we couldn't. I wonder why that is.
What's the betting in two years' time we offer Porto £100mn to sign him.

At least it would prove our scouting team nailed it.

The reasons for us not signing SO seemed rather vague to me. From a position of little knowledge, I will take comfort that we were prepared to walk away.

I would only be guessing and that is always dangerous but maybe the biggest issue was a guarantee of first team football.
