Despite everything that everyone is saying, I think we have done good in this window, and I think we are ready to compete.

Jackson will thrive under Maresca, and we are really solid in attack.

Getting Sancho will probably mean that it's the end for Mudryk next season.

I admit we need to be better in midfield and in defence but I hope Enzo Caicedo and Lavia will surprise us.

We have had a very disappointing window, we haven’t strengthened in areas we should have. As for Sancho what are they thinking: 58 PL appearances; 9 goals and 4 assists wow- obviously Palmer must be worried.

Jimbo,

He can warm the bench.

It's a total failure not to get a no.9 in this window.

We got a no9 in this window.

fuser, you are correct about us signing a No9, albua young raw talent whom I prefer over Broja or Fofana. If we couldn’t get Osimhen then staying with what we got is good for me.

The stats for Sterling were amazing before he joined us so the stats for Sancho at Utd don’t worry me given the obvious issues he had there. He seemed to be fine when playing under different managers in Germany. Time will tell if our manager can get him back to his best.

Whose place is he going to take Tom?

As for our very young new no.9, how many goals is he going to get indeed, how many games is he going to get?

Not getting proven experienced number 9 might cost us over season as a whole but am less worried about our attack than our defence and question of leadership in team if things get wobbly.

Though was predictably disappointed we did not get Osimhen and seemed to double down on him on deadline day and ended up adding yet another wide player who has done less well for United than Sterling for us. But as said can only hope Sancho will find his Dortmund form!

Bill, he takes the place of Sterling and in my opinion will play many more games than Mudryk.

Our young No9 will start in around 10-15 games this season plus comes on as sun in another eight. We have plenty of domestic and European cup games.

There is something to be said for a season in which Jackson has a chance to build on his promising first EPL season and in which the very young and raw Guiu will get game time enough to gain experience and hopefully confidence/ effectiveness as an EPL striker.

There will be lots of games to be played in which Guiu could. not least in the Congference League group stage where surely there are many goals to be got in a home game against the likes of Noah (from Armenia) -- even if they play their famous 2-2-2-2 system dubbed 'the ark'?!

JBS, wouldn’t it be wonderful if at the end of the season we realised we had a better striker in Jackson than Osimhen.

It would be wonderful indeed Tom.
