The Cold Pamler show. Not just the four goals but his general contribution was brilliant.
As I said pre match, the Brighton eight man press (madness) would be made for us. The madness of there tactics was only matched by the two mistakes of Sanchez.
Lots of good performances but I would like to mention Enzo. I posted pre season that this was going to be a big season for the lad. So far this season for me, he is proving what a talent he can be for our club.

You were spot on about the Brighton high press which suited us to a T. A pity that Sanchez had so recently been quoted that he was in the form of his life - and had looked that way to be fair - before his two silly errors that could have cost us the game against other less adventurous and better defending opponents. I son't know if it was playing against how old club and getting booed by their fans but suddenly so much of seeming new composure flew out the window early on. Did partly redeem himself with a good save or two later but oh dear the curse of CFC keeper with goal at feet is back plus bad choice of when to come for ball in air.
Yes and Enzo looking better yesterday and Jackson wonderfull unselfish hasn't always been the case) squaring ball for one of Palmer's four. The freekick absolutely world class.

Great to see this team coming togther palmer caiciedo enzo sancho all put in a shift. Fofana and Collwill cucurella gusto look good. Accept being let down by Sanchez. He’s going to cost us further into the season no doubt. The games palmer doesn’t score we can’t rely on Jackson either.

Blue boy/ JBS, generally pleased so far this season but we will not compete at the highest level with a keeper and No 9 who are not big game players. Sanchez is a liability and I don’t think the Brighton fans were booing him they were taking the Micky out of us for buying him. It frustrates me that we have spent money on average keepers or youngsters when we should have splashed out for a top class keeper.

Jumbo as you probably saw Ed002 says club continuing to look at GK options but this not a priority at the moment so it. may be a question for a while of choosing from what we have already. Should it be Jorgensen over Sanchez?
I do think Jackson offers a great deal as a number 9 and his stats pretty impressive if especially ehen low block not being employed against us and am. guessing probably more goals away from the Bridge than at it. So it may be that he still has something to prove in those low block games or against top teams and I had hoped for a seasoned Costa/ Dd style number 9 to be brought in during the summer and clearly the club tried to do this. But reckon Jackson deserves credit for doing pretty well leading line meanwhile. I suspect the club still. looking to bring in likes of an Osimhen in January or next simmer if wage structure not completely unraveled.
Meanwhile Maresca still has the Nkunku option which worked v Bournemouth away.

JBS, no need to be rude, I know I’ve put on a few pounds but “Jumbo”. Lol. I just think Nkunku offers more than Jackson and would like to see him get a few more starts.

Oh no my apologies yet another JBS typo -- clearly it should have been Jimbo (or if a typo, Slimbo?! ) . I certainly also think NKunku has v much to offer and seemingly has both quick feet and compsure/ accuracy needed in box that Jackson has quite often seemed to lack. But Jackson does seem to worry and probably tire opposing CBs partly cos of pace that maybe Nkunku has less of? Might be that Maresca will opt for Nkunku or bring him on much earlier in games when low block by opposition or speedy and skilful CBs who handle Jackson ore easily?

Jackson is offering a lot more than just goals to this team at the moment. He has taken his chance well and Nkunku, who so many said wasn’t a CF, will now have to wait for his turn to impress.
I’m sure Nkunku will start on Thursday along with other players who need game time. It’s for those players to give the manager a selection problem.

I for one am very happy no striker was bought in during the window. It would of meant Jackson and Nkunku dropping down the pecking order and both are doing very well. Patience is needed to allow top young prospects to develop and Jackson is exceeding all expectation. Jimmy Floyd H was quoted at the weekend as saying Jackson could be a £150m striker if he continues to develop. Give him time and he will be delivering the big numbers.
