I have sent another email to CFC today asking them how my ticket for the Villa game was eventually sold on Viagogo for £350 when I had sold it to the Chelsea resale site at cost.

Good question Tom and glad you've asked about this as auggests mere CFC members like me who would like to get to a game at decent CFC ticket exchange price are being scalped - as you are - by others.

JBS, I haven’t had a reply to my email yet but I my guess is that the club sold the ticket to a supposed member in good faith at the correct price. That supposed member who is probably employed by the scalping agency then passes the ticket onto to Viagogo and they make a huge profit.
I was notified by Chelsea literally within mins that the ticket had been bought. I’m now hoping that the club at the very least takes this bogus member off there list of members.

Well done Tom and yes that bogus member should be taken of the members' list. Mkes one wonder how many such meners there are and if there is a system that can prevent this. Have ytou or anyone seen how many CFC tickets are available on such sites at inflated prices? Well I may have a look myself to see.

The lad who’s bought the ticket from Viagogo was Dutch and he comes to London once a year to see Chelsea play.
There has to be a better way of selling tickets than this. It’s just not fair on genuine members who are desperate to get tickets for games.

Tom, it has never occurred to me that tickets put on ticket exchange would end up in the hand of touts. I suppose the club wouldn’t know unless it it reported. I presume one of your mates got the info from the Futch guy.

Jimbo, my sons went to the match and were obviously sitting next to him. My ticket is obviously a concession ticket, so out of interest they asked how much he paid. They assumed it might be the full normal Chelsea ticket price.
They were as gobsmacked as I was when he told them how much he had paid and he got it via Viagogo.

Tom interesting you say that as yesterday I listed my season ticket for the boxing day game against Fulham and iI put it on and literally in about 20 seconds had an email it had sold. Im convinced these ticket companies will have some type of software constantly scanning the site.
