I like the way Maresca is stamping his authority on this young squad, step out of line, don't train correctly, display bad attitude and you won't make the matchday squad. Yes, it hurts in the short term but long term and the dividends will pay off. Under Poch Noni got away with his poor attitude time after time, under Maresca he gets dropped. The message is powerful and Maresca is key to our return to the top table. We have all seen too much player power over the years and I like his approach. I think Noni and one or two others will be shown the door and replaced with players who will not only improve the team but also show the right attitude at all times. All part of the process as we strive to compete at the top table.

Westside he does not need to throw them under the bus to the media, if you are doing it, do it behind closed doors.
As bad as Man City are this season, Pep does not have a moan about his players.

Bill I disagree. I have said countless times that I didn't like noni attitude.
Hearing it from enzo only proves the point. In days gone by if you weren't pulling your weight then you get told. If you don't like it. There is the door.
Unfortunately nowadays you can't as the snowflakes melt.
In my opinion he has done the correct thing and if he doesn't like it then off you pop.

Strictl discipline with players is fine as long as you are winning and successful otherwise you lose the dressing room- a fine balance.

I have a feeling that if we had won this we being brought up as an issue. Of course if we lose against Ipswich the so called story will have a life of its own.
