Maresca has come out couple times and criticised noni, now veiga too, Felix isn't getting minutes in prem, EM also said about nkunku possibly wanting to leave in Jan. Few questions
1) when has criticising players publicly ever ended well,
2) did noni's hattrick deceive us, has he had a good game since
3) in Jan who do we think will be pushed out or push to leave?

1) He got asked a question and answered it the way he was best. I personally have no problems in letting fans know why a player isn’t in the squad. Maybe the players should apologise about unprofessional behaviour.
2) He has occasionally been asked to work to fill the gap of our inverted FB. After seeing the dogs dinner Neto made of it against Fulham I hope he is never asked to do that again.
3) I think if players are not happy they will be allowed to leave along with Chuka and Chilly. I can’t see us signing anyone in players in this window.

Tom, I don’t know exactly what the unprofessional behaviour is but no doubt it will come out in the wash. As I said previously with our injuries and outgoings if we don’t strengthen we may struggle. As for inverted fullbacks: it’s all Greek to me but it has certainly made Gusto look like a bang average player.
Liverpool look head and shoulders above every other team. Part of the reason might be that the rest aren’t very good- I don’t buy into this Premier League is so strong argument. The top four race is the only game in town and the only team I feel confident to make it is Arsenal sorry to say.

Jimbo, it’s being reported that the two players (Veiga and Noni) didn’t train up to the stand the manager expects. If that is an accurate report then I seem to remember Noni having previous.
Yep Liverpool are the best at the moment and it’s definitely theirs to lose.

Tom, just as well Maresca wasn’t around when Eden was with us.

Maybe but if players play well they can in my opinion they can be forgiven but he hasn’t reached a level of performance that deserves special treatment.

Tom absolutely, Eden was renowned for being a poor trainer but there was never issues with his attitude. Also, he was world class and Nono isn’t good enough to have attitude issues and be a poor trainer. Apparently this is an ongoing problem so he should go, we have younger players with potential and they should not be influenced by someone who thinks he is better than he is and bigger than the club.

Players like people can learn lessons. Let’s hope they both can understand what our current manager is demanding!

Let’s get something right Noni and Veiga shouldn’t even be in the same sentence as Eden.

I think it was Jose who said the other players have to work harder because of Eden. Very few players are talented enough to get a free ish pass from a manager like Jose.

I read the above opinions with interest, we all see a game differently, and that is fine.
Noni! Last year we saw the penalty incident, has anything changed, nope not really, overating yourself, late to meetings, sub standard trainings, and knowing Estavou Willian is arriving, and will play, drops him down the list to start, he's getting sold without a doubt. Neto is the 2nd choice right winger and Sancho can deputise there.
Dearly departed Edd002 said the intention was that Paez would be loaned to Stausburg meaning Santos would return to Chelsea at seasons end, but, in the meantime we have to cover Enzo and Caicedo needing rest time so I'm guessing Ugochuku will be recalled from loan at Southhampton till seasons end to give cover.
Our big risks financially are Raheem and Ben, both of whoom will run down their contracts, never to be heard of again.
Lets be fair. these guys will never have to worry about the things that we all do, rent, mortgage, incidentasls, pretty charmed life actually!

Kiwi, I enjoyed your post. In my opinion you make a good point about Noni but I would like to think that he will under how fortunate and blessed he is in having the talent to play professional football.
Good call on Ugo. I didn’t want him going out on loan anyway.
The potential financial hit on Chilly and Sterling is interesting but I think Chilly will be off in Jan. The Sterling problem is just a can that’s been kicked down the road but at least we have had a percentage of his wages paid for this season.!
