As much as I've been impressed this season and we have exceeded my expectations so far, these last few results highlight just how much we need a CF over any other position.

The longest winless run since the 2022- 3 season is cause for concern
As is the strange way Msresca has approached substitutions in it plus line up changes. The 5 changes to starting line up plus 5 subs used the same number as in other 3 games. Am not sure how many players he really trusts and worrying that eg Nkunku looks disillusioned plusadueke and Viega out of favour. Wh
With a lead in this game plus the Fulham one going into 70th minute . then no attempt to eg strengthen midfield/ defense by bringing on eg Cadadei.
But yes missing chances getting to. past couple of seasons dimensions too.
Anyway last season we did win most points after top two in final fifteen games or so. winning final 5 or more I think. so if Maresca can manage that we could still. make top 4. I think we ended with 63 points or so and playing some great attacking football with Caicedo and Gallagher providing a degree of midfield dominance. I reckon Caicedo and Fernández have been pretty good in midfield this season but kind of need Lavia behind them to shore things up.
LC needs an experienced CB alongside him. TC might have been better than other options this season if especially given Fofana nigh constant injury problems.
Anyway 18 games to go.

I think we have exceeded expectations set by the woefully poor pre- season games and appointing such an inexperienced manager. But having finished last season strongly I had at end of it thought top 4.must be achievable this season especially after another transfer window. Perhaps we made some wrong decisions with outgoing and incoming there. Anyway as said there are 18 matches left for Maresca to get us top 4.

JBS, maybe top 5 will be good enough for Champions League this season.
