We should of had a stonewall penalty against Everton and Pickford may well have seen red as well. At 1 nil up against Palace we also should have had a penalty as confirmed today by Mike Dean and others. On the flip side Ipswich were awarded a very soft penalty against us. Fine margins. The boys are developing nicely and will learn from this experience, a bad run of results for sure but on the back of a good run of results. Young Josh enjoyed his full premiership debut and at 18 looks a real prospect. Yes, the side is not quite there yet and nor is the head coach! but we are working in the right direction and patience is needed.

Our manager has joined our sometimes happy band of posters. Welcome Enzo.

We have some decisions go against us recently but we had a few go our way in few matches but I agree our “general” performances are moving in the right direction.

Thankyou for your kind welcome Tom. I shall be honest and try to remain un-biased in any comment I make. Projects take time and anybody involved in football will always tell you they don't have time! I also understand that some fans want instant success! So do I! but it doesn't work that way so hard work is required along with patience and understanding.

EM, I couldn’t agree more. Unfortunately we
live in a society that rushes to judge.

Tom

It's people's opinions and let's be fair some will co tinue to find positives whereas others who want the side to improve will also point out the negatives. That is the only way anything improves.

If you tell somebody they are doing great when they are not, nothing will change.

Bill, of course it’s people’s opinions and they must always be welcomed and respected but sometimes it takes players time for players to feel comfortable. Cucarella is a massive example how easy (including me) it is to right a player off.

All of these players have a skill set that we can only dream about. For me being critical from match to match it perfectly reasonable but I will only make a broader judgement at the end of the season. Other fans/ posters can obviously do whatever they want and say whatever they want but that obviously means the reverse is allowed.

Your example that the only way people improve is through being negative or critical is in my opinion obviously wrong!

One person’s negativity is another person’s objective critique. I am not sure how it can be said someone is “ obviously wrong “ unless they are propounding a scientific statement which, of course, can change over time. Cucurellla has settled but his skill set was there for the eye to see from the start, That said, his defending can be poor but I like his energy just as I was happy to have David Luiz in the team.

It can be said because it’s not “not the only way anything improves. ” You cannot use the word “only” if there is more than “one” way.

Jimbo, the first season performances of Cucarella were generally very poor. He constantly got on the wrong side of forwards, allowed players onto there stronger side and was rash in the challenge. If I remember correctly he had family issues in that first season, so I think some were willing to give him time.

Luiz was a marmite player in my opinion. Some loved him and some could only see a clown but for our club he always seemed to be good in big games.
