Our sporting directors are shameless, pushed trev out to buy new shinny toys, £38m on disasi who can play centre back and right back when we had player ready made there, and abasing the big headline
£1.5b spent - need GK CB ST Now recalling players we left behind for pre season and pushed the media brief " doesn't fit maresca style "
Time to say goodbye, dan ashworth is available.

Making a mistake isn’t unusual. Sometimes admitting the mistake is harder.
I’m happy ish with the money that’s been spent on creating a new young squad. In my opinion mistakes have been made and the Chalaboa exit instead of Disasi was one of them.

Unfortunately i don't think either Trev or Diasi are good enough.
I think generally the sporting directors / owners have done a pretty good job many more hits than misses.
I agree on the GK is really an important position and a world class goalie would of been better than spending the money on Felix.

seymns, I agree with you about Trev he is not a solution to our defensive issue. However, I disagree about the SDs more misses that hits particularly last summer: uninspiring signings particularly Felix and KDH, as I said previously with that money we could have signed Diogo Costa.

Its the way he was treated, disasi was injured but taken on US TOUR, trev stayed behind and trained with the kids, was told he doesn’t fit the system and not wanted, left out of squads, £38m on disasi and majority think trev is better and others think nyneres nothing in it, but there’s £38m difference, we didn’t need to spend it and can’t recoup all of it, we never needed to spend that, then we go back to trev and unsettle him when he was playing regularly because we messed up, we all saw this except the ones in charge of managing squad and the money,
And there maybe is more hits than misses, £1.5b and we still need 3/ 4 of a spine of a team, can we not see the problem with this,
Look at Newcastle - don’t play better football than us, they’ve gained over ten points because they have something we don’t, a consistent goalscorer, how many windows we going to have when we fail to address the elephant in the room,
We’ve got wingers who aren’t contributing to goals again as well, if palmer doesn’t score we struggle, one man team.

Matt, I’m not a massive fan of the Newcastle coach but he has got his side playing well at there moment but at this moment they are still behind us in the league. I would love us to sign Isak and I have got a clue but I would be interested to know the goals to games ratio of Isak and Jackson over the last two seasons.
I think we can all see some mistakes have been made in the last few transfer windows but lots of clubs have also made transfer mistakes. It’s not just a Chelsea thing.
I think there is huge room for improvement and if we do continue to make upgrades then I think our squad will be frighteningly good.

Sorry, I should have added that I agree that the way Chalaboa was treated left a lot to be desired.

Blimey, after his display tonight I checked the goals to game ratio of Isak. It’s a very impressive 52 goals in 90 games for Newcastle.
As I said the other week my first choice was always Osimhen but now I’ve changed my mind. How fickle of me!
