Very frustrating today, does anyone know how many points we have lost from winning positions?
Today's result and performance shows exactly where we are, naive, not matue enough, obviously there will be signings in the summer and hopefully what we glaringly need.
We've exceeded my expectations and I'm sure we will go on a good run of winning games soon.

Steve, good and reasonable observations. We go again. The happy hammers are next up!

WE need a new keeeper then we are a top 4 team.

Given how we finished last season my expectations at the end of it were v optimistic we'd progress yet further this season. Give Poch his second year and a GK, Cb and striker of quality. The SDs thought better. they could still be proved right and I hope they are but hopes not high right now as they weren't after this seasons preseason when I predicted 5th to 9th place finish. Again hugely hope its 5th not 9th. if not top 4!

JBS, I’m sticking with 3rd-5th. Although if we drop points to the happy hammers I might be too drunk for the remainder of the season to care.
Seymns, just maybe Jorgensen is that keeper!

Tom
They will be happy Hammers after playing us.

If that’s what you think then enjoy the next 8 days.
I will look upon it as a time for all at Chelsea to reflect and go again!

If we can't beat the Hammers next Monday night it's certainly time to get hammered!
The SDs appointing EM was surely in part cos Poch tried to stand up to them over transfer policy and was an experienced manager. So instead of keeping him. on and listening to him and making small incremental changes to improve squad in the key areas weand am sure he all knew it needed improving it was SDs saying he must go and vast change transfer numbers in and out again. And proving Poch wrong by selling, loaning out, or sidelining many players he'd used like Petrovic, Chucky, Chilly, Gallagher, Nkunku, Casadei and replacing them supposedly better options. But then many of those cast into B side or not deemed good enough like Veiga.
All looks pretty messy.
But if EM replaced not the SDs that doesn't seem fair and who would he be replaced by?

Not sure what there is to reflect on Tom to be honest.
Nothing us fans can do but suffer.
Off to watch the women today with my daughter so that hopefully will cheer me up.
26 Jan 2025 11:14:55
Watching our women's team has more often been a more positive experience than wtaching our men at the Bridge in recent seasons Bill so hope it proves to be today and the you and your daughter have a good day out.
26 Jan 2025 13:14:43
Always suffer when we get beat or put up a poor performance but thankfully that has not been the case for the majority of games!
26 Jan 2025 15:26:30
Thank you JBS, we had a great time and enjoyed the result, always happy to beat an Arsenal team whether it's the men or women.
26 Jan 2025 16:53:34
Good to hear Bill and beating any Arsenal team is always one of my favourite football experiences.
26 Jan 2025 18:34:52
The quality of football in that game was a fantastic example of how much the playing standards of women’s football has risen. Of course the result helped.

And Sonia B succeeding Emma H even better than Slot after Klopp. If only same calibre of manager could bebin charge of our men's team agsin. Transfer decisions pretty key to this too of course!
