Been a funny old set of results in the FA cup. If it hadn't been for our very poor result I would have been having a wonderful weekend particularly with England beating France.

Our women's team also did us proud yet again Tom.

Very True JBS.

JBS
The women's team have a great coach with a structure and team plan that each player knows, plus they play as a team.
The coach is a really good tactician as well.
They also seem to know how to improve the squad during transfer windows.

That’s good then and you can now add the spuds getting beaten. If only Chelsea!

Not really worried about how Spurs or Liverpool did, only worried about CFC Tom.
For the due hard away fans signing Romans name shows all is not well with us.
09 Feb 2025 20:36:20
Bill. I have to find something that makes me laugh.
Our fans singing Romans name is hardly earth shattering. They have been doing it at some stage of every season for the last three years. We all crave success. I prefer to take the view maybe this time next year or maybe the year after or the year after. Life will go on!

Maybe nothing earth shattering Tom, if everything was going well, it would not be happening.
09 Feb 2025 23:01:44
Been a Chelsea fan since 67 the Roman years were great but apart from them we have had the odd cup win but not really challenged for the title.
My point being 4th in the top league is not a disaster in years pre Roman we would be delighted with it
We have some great young players the mid term future is looking good.
Obviously not playing well at the moment but I believe the good form will return.

Tom, i'm beyond certain the B in your username stands for Boehly at this point. i get defending your team. guilty of it myself but at one point we really must question how we have 1 billion in the past 3 years and honestly, i can't see massive improvements in any areas.
yeh great we've signed an army of 14-17 year olds from across the globe, i hope we get them all GCSEs and change their lives, but from a here and now prespective it's anything if not desperate with a cocktail of issues waiting to erupt in the coming years.

Kazblue, if only because I would like being worth over £5bn.
I was critical of our last performance, the manager, the owners and to a certain extent the SD’s. I prefer to give praise and criticism game by game and I will comment generally at the end of the season.
I took the view some time ago that it would take time before we challenged for the premiership title, partly because of our new owners early mistakes and then there desire to buy young talent. Last season I had us finishing between 6th-8th and this season between 3rd-5th.
The amount of change that has taken place at CFC has in my opinion has taken place to quickly and that is something that I have consistently said but is now water under the bridge.
I haven’t got a clue about any “cocktail of issues” in the future other than the usual expectation of winning a trophy but that expectation is the same at a lot of clubs some of whom have also invested a lot into buying players but still not won anything for decades or the premiership in yonks.
The dynamic of the club has changed and I excepted that some time ago. I will carry on supporting my team in my own way, in that sense nothing has changed.

Bill, we hve new owners, that’s what’s happening and we are not winning trophies.
The takeover of CFC by RA made us the most successful club for years. For me that instant success was unusual and I’m struggling to think of another footballing takeover that has achieved a similar impact or instant success. I suppose Wrexham.

Tom
Not only are we not winning trophies, we are not getting a sniff at them. We are not competitive enough with some of outer best players always injured.
10 Feb 2025 10:16:04
I’m sorry but I thought we reached a final last season, so I guess the club did get a small sniff.
The players being injured is something that in part this manager has tried to manage and this season it looks to me to have been slightly improved.
We do have players who have long term injury concerns that keep on recurring. I think a solution needs to be found because we can’t carry on relying on them as squad members. Injuries happen at al clubs but it’s a tough decision to draw stumps on a player.
