Watching Ath Madrid hammer Betis 4-1 at the moment. Conor came on in the 70th minute and rarely starts a game for them now. A great squad player but very limited ability.

I agree with you Standard and a big risk to gamble on Lavia being fit for most of this season then also loaning out Santos and not trusting Casadei. But if we make Champions League qualification I guess that gamble will have come off. If not it won't have imho. But the bookies have us making it though for it to come down to last game of the season away against one of our rivals should not need to have happened given our club's resources and where we finished last season despite 14 first team squad injured for substantial periods. Given Spurs and United melt down plus five qualifying for CL this season qualification - building on end of last season form and with striker, experienced CB to replace Silva, and possibly keeping Petrovich plus Santos (and Gallagher insytead of KDH? though latter not a bad player) at the club - should have been relatively straighforward surely.

I haven’t got a clue what us offering CH a contract has got to do with his ability. In my opinion he works hard and would have been a good squad player.
I was far more upset when Mount got transferred. If he stays fit he has the natural ability to change a game.
I’m also far more upset that we loaned out Chuka and are now likely to sell him than I would be about the transfer of CG.

I agree Tom that Chuka looked a real star in what we saw of him before that injury after glorious goal at West Ham.

JBS, I have this feeling that out of all the players we have on loan and probably about to sell Chuka is the one that will come back to haunt us.

Gallagher was a squad player in my view and didn’t agree a contract. We got a decent fee for him though it’s a shame we wasted it on Felix and KDH.
