A mate had told me there were big queues at the friendlies: not sure why? What do you think of the official Chelsea app? I'm not very keen on it: could be far more user friendly.

I will give my opinion on the App after tomorrow. It will depend if I can download my ticket.

Well Jimbo I just about managed with the app. Had both tickets for me and my son on it as hadn't worked out how to send it to him so had to pass phone back over turnstile after he'd used it. Queue not too bd as was West Stand lower and we were there in good time. The tickets had arrived on the app a few ays earlier and the app displayed their presence prominently. Worst thing about the app was my son laughing at my worrying about it! But haven't yet sent tickets to others on it and would sutely be better if it was one person one tocket/ phone in terms of speed of entry. Anyway we had left plenty of time for kick off and people behind us understanding of only slight delay - but it could all mount up - while we passed phone back. Expect a few on here laughing at me about all this too!

JBS, thanks for the update. Apparently the system goes live tomorrow. It is not what I expected, I was thinking of a digital season ticket ; not having one ticket at a time. I presume you have to sign to the App to get your ticket displayed; very cumbersome.

Jimbo snap, I had also assumed that we would only require a single ST digital ticket.
Tomorrow afternoon is the test for all ST holders. I can’t make the Fulham game and I’m dreading putting my ticket onto the CFC resale site.

Tom, given all the stuff you can add to your wallet on your phone, I am disappointed with what appears to be a pretty outdated system. Still I’ll see how it goes tomorrow. It has the makings of a cock-up. Better get to the Bridge early on Sunday.

Jimbo, as I understand it we are not the first club that has moved to digital ticketing. So, I would have assumed that we have just bought the technology from “off the shelf. ”.

Tom, our digital tickets system has been set up by Ticketmaster. One of the reasons the PL are making digital ticketing mandatory next season is to prevent ticket touting. How ironic, Ticketmaster are basically corporate ticket touts. Anyway, as long as it works efficiently no one will care.

Mine said that the QR code will now appear on Friday. That seems very late to me.

Tom, mine didn’t even say that. I can’t understand why we have to wait until Friday. So far the experience hasn’t been very positive.
