{Ed002's Note - Berge has been considered as an option if Kante or Jorginho were leaving and nothing else. Everyone and his dog has shown an interest. Don't expect anything to happen.

It would be a shame to not give Ethan Ampadu the space to develop.
He is a real prospect and has as much potential as Berge.
But as seems common on here spending money on new players is preferred to developing our own players.
And Gallagher will be pushing to be in the squad next season as well.

Good post Turvey, but I think Berge has got more potential (as a DM) than C. Gallagher and Ethan Ampadu.

Turvey your posts these days are very sensible I have to agree. Berge may be a talent, however in Ampadu we have somebody with massive potential and I am sure as soon as he gets exposure at Chelsea he will do well. However, it all depends on what position chelsea want to play him.

I think Tomori and Ampadu could form an excellent long term CB partnership in two or three years.
