Are we really interested in AC Milan and France left-back Theo Hernandez, 24, as cover for injured England defender Ben Chilwell? As is being reported.

This would be the kind of signing that clubs at the top level engage in as Chilly has been good (can’t say great) since his signing. Additionally Dave and Alonso simply no longer has the legs to play in this system. Theo Hernandez has a lot of attributes that would set him up to be successful as well. Very big for his position with absolutely elite mobility. He’s more than capable in attack and while he makes the odd mistake defensively, he wouldn’t be nearly as exposed in our system as he is in Milan’s. The last year and a half he’s really taken his game to the levels which were expected of him when he broke through at a much younger.

I’m glad Ed has said there may be some interest, if we get an update before Christmas of potential targets that would of been a name I’d liked to have seen, he is in the same bracket as hakimi as a real specialist wingback, would we spend big on a wingback after spending £50m on chillwell not so long ago? Other names I’d be excited to see would be Marquinhos / tchoumeni and I like idea if sane as left winger, a player who can shoot from distance, also some free transfers, kessie maybe.

ED002, will there be any incomings in the Jan transfer window?
our backline will look so different next year with
alonso cesar rudiger christensen silva . all or most of them could leave . would we look to replace them in Jan?

Not expecting much this Jan window.
We are Struggling to keep our defense and system . Kante and kova bring so much to the team . our best midfield is when we have those two and jorginho play.
With fixture back to back. its important to get them fit and playing again.
