Apparently lukaku is being dropped for the game tomorrow, absolutely idiotic if true, let him get in the pitch and prove he wants to be here. Dropping him when his got 2 in 2 and our only fit striker.

This can work out one of two ways for me.
1) he can play and have a blinder.
2) TT can drop him from the squad and that makes a managerial statement.
I think and hope it will be the first option.

I believe it would be deserved regardless how talented he is or what form he's in, it was totally unprofessional and disrespectfull the timing and the manner in which he spoke about the managers tactics, unless they dished out the issue behind closed doors which may have already happened as tuchel is a very wise and intelligent man id also back him if big rom is benched, for me tt is the best tactical manager of the roman era and i want him backed all the way personally.

The fascinating thing about the interview is it has completely overshadowed the tactical matchup and Liverpool’s C.V. concerns in what is likely the most important game of our season (title race versus top 4) unless we go extremely deep in the champions league.

Ok so he’s said what he’s said probably gone the wrong way about it but it’s true what he’s said he’s unhappy and TT has changed the style of play which doesn’t suit him (and let’s be fair when TT decided to change the way we play he must of known unless he’s clueless it wasn’t going to suit Lukaku, He’s most likely started Lukaku these last few weeks to take a bit of heat off himself because he’s already being prepared by the clubs press that the lukaku story was going to get released as I think it was done a-month ago. All in all it’s stupid not to play him this week to punish him and for other reasons 1. due to the fact he’s the only one who looks like he’s going to score 2. It weakens the side massively 3. He’s told the truth why is he being punished for telling the truth let’s be fair the formation and style of football when he swapped hasn’t worked out for us really has it we’ve been awful last 6 games 4. Why punish him for one game if everyone thinks it’s so bad what he’s done just get rid, am sure he’s not said what he’s said not knowing if there a deal to be dealt somewhere?
If he doesn’t want to be at the club just say so like the Ed’s say all the time we will not stand in anyones way if they want to leave. Get good money buy someone else really not looking forward to this game.

What tactic has TT changed? The only thing I see is mount/ odoi playing wider. Leaves less space for wing backs to attack but gives more protection in defensive phase.
Which looks like it changed when chilly got injured.
And that's totally understandable as alonso is the worst at defending. He infuriates me when he gets beat, his constant pulling back and giving stupid fouls is stupid areas.
School kids are taught about giving no fouls in dangerous areas.

Tommotuchel so tell me what we are going to achieve today by leaving him out who do you actually think it’s punishing, because I see if we don’t win today we are out out if not already out of the title race.
I hear Liverpool have problems as well with C.V. so I think there weakened so I think we have a bigger chance and then this morning I hear he’s out the squad. Well that’s on TT and the board I hope it works for them, but don’t see what we are going to learn if they play him next week?

Big Rom. Decided to whinge and complain at the worst moment. He never wanted to leave Inter? He could have joined Citeh for more money? Now we are stuck with him. I doubt Inter have the financial power to buy him back. Ed, would they take him back? Real Madrid, Munich and Barcelona were all better options for him apparently. But they clearly did not want him. Ed, would they take him?
Tuchel was very graceful about it. But Rom is burning his bridges.
Lukaku is not as good as he thinks he is. I mean it is great that he has such self-confidence. For a striker. But on the pitch, he has been a disappointment for us thus far.
A 'poor mans' Tammy Abraham? Maybe. But Certainly not really worth the money we spent on him. How will we get our money back from selling him on? Or will Big rom being the biggest waste of money in footballing history since. kepa?

I was at the game this evening and heard the news prior that Lukaku was dropped entirely and I can’t lie, it really pleased me. I was shocked at our interest in him in the summer and even more so when we signed him.
our performance was brilliant without him, and massively unlucky not to come away with the 3 points. How Mane didn’t see red is beyond me.
One player I felt would have made a massive difference for us tonight was Werner, Liverpool were extremely exposed for the majority and I think he’d have definitely taken and range of that.
Kovacic was immense and what a goal. Kante and Silva also top draw.
Lukaku is just another player.
Ed - I know you’ve mentioned before that a relationship would have had to be mended at Chelsea before Lukaku returning - which I assume was.
Could I ask what feelings there in to what Lukaku has done?

Romelu Lukaku, on Sunday changed his social media bio to list his former club Inter Milan as his club. I mean, I cannot see Inter buying him back. I think they are happier with the substantial amount of money they got.

Tuchel is such a class act btw. The way he described Mane as a wonderful player and a wonderful guy, but, it was clearly a red card. AND he said that there is always a way back for Lukaku. The man is in charge, but he isnot an ogre.
