Seen us linked with Pau Torres yesterday and I'm already unconvinced watching him after 15 minutes here. Heard he's a ball playing defender and you can tell he's more renown for his passing than defending.
Id much prefer one of Fofana or Gvardiol from what I've seen of them. Fofana already a quality prem defender too.

I've seen him described as Christensen without the CL medal.
Losing Rudi, we need a blood and guts defender rather than a ball player. I don't watch enough football outside of Chelsea to know who that might be. The joys of having a small child I suppose.

The way TT wants to play out from the back he will definitely be looking for a CH who is comfortable player on the ball as well as a defender.
I was a big fan of Torres until he had a shocker at the Euro’s.
I would also prefer us to have a natural left footer at LCB but that is just a minor preference.

I understand that hesitancy Tk and hope the young lad makes the grade but in my opinion he still has a way to go in my opinion.
Maybe a player who is comfortable with both feet would make everyone happy. A young JT please.

I have seen the same dihanio. I like my defenders to be aggressive or at least vying for every ball. I don’t see the need to spend 50m on him as that’s what his release clause is around.
Much rather see Colwill get the chance as the LCB and spend on a Fofana or Kounde right sided centre back instead.

We have that in Colwill he just needs the chance in my opinion. Torres is known for ability to play out from the back but not as a defender which is also a worry. I don’t want our centre backs shying away from the physical battle.
Put it this way I would not be confident seeing Torres up against Konate and Van Dijk next season.

At the moment I prefer Gvardiol the most, if we can’t get him, I would rather we use Colwill than buy Pau Torres. I think more names will come up in due course.
