Bit of chatter in the Italian media about Perisic is a top target on a free for Chelsea. Bit older than you would want but still seems a first choice at Inter so maybe worth a punt.

If Alonso and Emerson are moved on it’s a good deal in my eyes. Send Maatsen on loan to a better team for a year (I’ve actually heard Dortmund want him) then hopefully he can return and challenge Chilwell for the LB spot.

I said previously that I’d be happy if we looked at few of these free transfers and last year left on contract players to add depth and experience, just tough if it blocks youth, but if there good enough they will play I’m sure.

If Chelsea signed Perišić 6 years ago it would be amazing transfer. He is now 33 year old winger. This is not free signing of CB.

I agree. be a good signing. id rather see us sign an experienced squad player which is 30s+ because the youth know they won't have long to wait. rather us get a squad player who us 25-29 and they see no path way into the squad.
plus he will help the youth.
