Hey Ed,

I hope you are well.

I was wondering what the situation is with Kounde? A lot of media speculation about a move to Chelsea this summer. I've seen that Aston Villa have agree a deal for Diego Carlos and I was wondering if that ttansfer would have an impact in Chelsea signing Kounde?

Also what are your thoughts on Kounde, do you reckon he will be a good fit?

{Ed002's Note - Chelsea intend to sign Kounde after getting some other things out of the way.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks Ed, appreciate the quick response.

Is there any sort of pre agreement regarding Kounde or will Chelsea need to start talks again. Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - it will be a case of paying the asking price.}

Possible to ask what those other things are Ed002, or unimportant?

{Ed002's Note - Some transfer stuff.}

Probably be about 60 million when we could have just sorted out rudigers contract months and months ago. Ah well. We move on.

Does seem huge pity re Tony R Standard. Hope Kounde will be brilliant, but worry a bit that he does seem a bit on short side (5' 10") for a CB in EPL. Still, he is young, has already been selected for French national side and presumably been scouted very thoroughly. and we certainly need some CB replacements!

I heard his got a very good leap JBS.

ED1 what are your thoughts on Kounde as a player.

{Ed001's Note - I think he is excellent and worries over his height are just nonsense. It might take him some time to adapt, it is a different culture from the Spanish one and that is what would worry me most with him. Sevilla is so different, the adaptation process might take him time he won't get in English football playing a club that is expected to challenge for trophies.}

Thanks for your views Ed, appreciate it. It goes some way in solving replacements for departures. Let's hope we. can get this deal done ASAP.

Ed001 can you clarify what you mean by him not getting into English football playing a club that is expected to challenge for trophies? Sorry if i’m being simple, i just can’t quite get my head around it. Thanks for your input, it’s always valued. Also thank you Ed002 for the growing input with transfer deals. Again, its always valued and appreciated!

{Ed001's Note - it just means there is an added pressure for a person to deal with, where the spotlight is on them so every mistake or bad moment is highlighted in the media. It makes it more difficult to settle. When they go somewhere like Southampton or Brighton, for example, they can settle in and people notice what they do well, rather than focus on what they get wrong. So they can grow in confidence and settle quickly.}

Kounde is 1.80m like Azpilicueta.

Thank you for the clarification Ed. I get what you mean now! Here’s to hoping that he hits the ground running!

{Ed001's Note - fingers crossed for him.}
