8 goalkeepers in our squad now, would any of them start for city, arsenal, Liverpool, villa, spurs?

Very dramatic statement. We may have eight keepers but some are young potential talents.
There are three that really matter for first team purposes at the moment and it looks like one of them is going out on loan. So we are left with two and one of them has just been signed. He could be a superstar as far as I know.
That leaves Sanchez and NO he wouldn’t start for the teams you mentioned.
{Ed002's Note - He is simply trolling the site. Ignore him.}

OK Ed.

We have signed all these keepers would it not have made more sense to put the money together and buy one established top level keeper …not really a position to be rotating and testing.

Are you sure we haven’t signed a top keeper?

Which goalkeeper in the world would get in ahead of Allison or Ederson? Courtois maybe? Having him back then?!
Who’d heard of Vicario last season? I’d take him now.
Sometimes we just have to see how these things play out.

Jimbo, have a look at our signings in this Window.

I’m sorry I have just seen the above post and realised I sent it before it was finished.
Jimbo, I use of the “top keeper” was a question, not a statement that we have.
The original question was about signing players for certain positions and I repeat we have.
I have looked at lots of clips and found two games that our new goalkeeper played in. Ion my opinion he was good with his feet but when making saves he has a tendency not to push the ball to safety. Both games that I have seen he was ok with crosses. I have no idea if he will be top class in the same way I had no idea about Big Pete or Courtois becoming top class before they had played for our club.

Tom, Jorgensen is an unknown quantity and apparently not our first choice, who knows how he will turn out. We have a lot of keepers and have spent money on several over the last few seasons; none of which worked out. Shame we didn’t save the money and splash it on a proven keeper. As I keep saying I wish we had just made 3 signings of quality in the areas that needed attention rather than 9 signings very few of which we will see next season. Neto if it happens is the exception: that is the kind player I wanted. Sorry to keep on about it but it is just my opinion. If I turn out to way off the mark, I will be more than happy.

Jimbo hence my question. “Are you sure we haven’t signed a top keeper? ”
None of us can be certain how Jorgensen will turn out. As far as we know he could be the beat keeper we have ever signed.
We a keep repeating ourselves about how many players we have signed and I can’t see them all making the grade at Chelsea but I live in hope.
The owners in my opinion have rolled the dice and I hope there bet/ investment pays off. They have sought the opinions of professionals and let’s hope that advice is sound.

Tom, it’s easy to say how do you know we haven’t signed a top class keeper. He wasn’t Maresca’s first choice: no other team was fighting us to sign him. In time he may turn out to be a good signing but I concerned about this season. It will possible that Sanchez night start out as first choice ( Heaven help us) . Presumably, it’s the same professionals who advised the club to pay £25 million for Brighton’s 2nd/ 3rd choice keeper. I don’t know whether Costa would have joined us but he had a £60 million release clause which expired last on 1st July, that would have been money better spent that on bit part players who will probably hardly ever play regularly for the first team.

Jimbo, it was just a question about a keeper I have seen very little of and I was hoping it might get a response from a poster who had seen him play and therefore had a better view of his abilities.
He may well be top class and I will not be referring to him as a “bit part player” until I have at least seen him play more than a few games for Chelsea.
I think “the professionals” have signed son very good players but they are not going to get every signing they make right.
