I hadn't wanted Poch but to have given us two v good cup runs plus lost only 1 of last 15 games in EPL having had worst injury total in squad in EPL history got mebon side with him and i was shocked by his departure. He should have been given his second season as per contract. Problem seems to have been that he stood up to the SDs and owners and knew more about football than they did so like Tuchel he had to go.

He had cuccurella coming inside but still had gusto who looked his best he had overlapping and was only in patches as he was injured but palmer on right and nkunku central, and dropped Sanchez at first chance and didn’t look back, maresca is too stubborn and every fear we had from his spell at Leicester has and is shown currently. Our good start v a terrible West Ham and wolves and a nice Brighton who played that high line, they’ve all figured out what we’ll do and any manager with some experience is outwitting him.

I didn’t want Poch and I didn’t want him sacked. I will judge who has had the better season him or EM at the end of the season.
I personally thought he would pick Sanchez for this game anyway but I am pretty sure Jorgenesen will start against Brighton in the premiership.
Gusto last season did look good as an overlapping FB but not as a defender. Nothing has changed this season.

Had hoped EM had finally listened to those of us about inverted full backs and greater need to be more adaptable during games with positioning and substitutions. But seems he's back to same old same old now isn't helped by transfer decisions over recent Windows.

Question is whether EM has the the 14 injured players that Poch had to contend with. EM at least had Lavia and Fofana for a few games plus Enzo F not injured. Mind you Poch had Gallagher to pair so successfully with Caicedo in second half that gave Palmer so. much freedom to shine. Plus he had Silva and Chalobah and Petrovic that finally brought a bit more assurance to the defence. and a Gusto who was much better than the Gusto we've seen under EM.

JBS, Poch picked up the back end is a rubbish show and maned to get us 6th place. I expect EM to improve on last seasons premiership position.
The issue is EM isn’t going to be sacked and as far as we know the SD’s are delivering on there Job description.

I knew this team would fail with no matter what players he has in his squad. He’s chucking great players out of the squad,

Totally agree Blueboy1 and Tom, once the season ends Maresca needs to be a thing of the past.

Bill, so if we qualify for the Champions League, maybe win the conference cup and WCC you still want him sacked?
I will just wait and see how the season pans out before I make a decision.
