It now looks as if the scousers will be signing to top and apparently expensive CF's.

I think the likes of Jackson and Sesko will now be well wanted by several clubs and the asking price for CF's generally increasing above ridiculous!

I assume the scousers will now look to sell Diaz (average) and Nunez (below average) for significant fees. I really hope we have zero interest in either player.

Tom, agree about those two. I read a piece in the Sunday Times. Apparently at the official dinner on the eve of the club World Cup final, the Chelsea delegation overheard the PSG officials discussing when and where they would put the trophy. Our officials told Maresca; he passed it onto the players; the rest is history.

Tom, prices are very high and Jackson will likely be at least £65 million if not the £100 million the club are asking. He cost £32 million. I see Veiga is wanted by Ath. Madrid for €40 million, we signed him for €12 million.

Bear in mind though RPd, when we purchase players to replace our outgoings, they will be expensive as well.

Tom, I think Bayern are very interested in Diaz and the Liverpool will get a decent fee for him. I can’t see the same for Nunez. Interesting a German football pundit on Sky sports is suggesting that Chelsea have a strong interest in Sesko, I really don’t know that would work out but surely Jackson would be going.

Jimbo, I rate Jackson but in my opinion Sesko is potentially on a different level. He is young and can be coached but his work rate is off the charts. He would be perfect for a high energy press in the premiership.

Yes of course Bill. I posted a while back that transfer fees were going through the roof this window, and they are!

Diaz average? Stupidest comment I've seen on here and I've seen many.

You are correct. I personally would have said below average and I guess that’s the reason your club are looking to sell him.

The “average” assessment comes from some of your fellow supporters/ posters on your pages.

I should have added that in my opinion last season Liverpool only had three above average players.

That’s a figure that in my opinion applied to a lot of clubs in the premiership last season. The session was bang average with only one team being above average.

{Ed001's Note - your idea of average must be very strange.}

My views on players abilities are always strange and very conservative.

{Ed001's Note - average should be a mean level, there is no way that anyone with any sense could consider that Liverpool just had 3 players playing above average last season. They would have struggled to finish above top half. Alisson, Virgil, Gravenberch, Salah (by far and away the best player in the league last season), Gakpo, Diaz, Mac Allister and Szoboszlai all massively outperformed the mean statistically.}

I’m not long on sense either.

As I say, I am conservative in my above average judgements. My three above average pool players are, Allison, Salah and VVD.

For my club it’s Caicedo, maybe Palmer and when fit James the rest were average.

City, None.

Arsenal, Rice maybe, Saka and there CH who’s name I can’t remember.

As I have said I think the teams performing in the premiership last season were in my opinion average with one slightly better than average team.
