Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart together with recruitment chiefs Joe Shields and Sam Jewell have signed contract extensions that commit them to the club for the next six years. Our new owners appreciate the work that has gone into reshaping an aged team and building a young talented squad with tremendous potential to develop into serial winners. In the short term I'm looking at a need to offer Gittens competition on the left wing, George is not ready yet and needs a loan, a top centreback to replace Colwill and ultimately compete with him and another young keeper to compete this season with Sanchez and Gorgi and going forward to compete with Penders.
The boot room looks in good shape, a new FOS sponsor will be announced before Christmas so we now need to tackle the elephant in the room which is the stadium redevelopment.

It’s becoming increasingly obvious who the FOS will be and how it’s probably going to coincide with business launch. ✈️
Also, The stadium report is supposed to be made public this summer. Although not my preference I think we will be staying at The Bridge.
Just me but I still don’t think we will sign a so called top CH.
Also and as much as I rate Simmons, I think we wi not be signing him.

I think the sponsorship deal has been agreed for some time now Tom and I think you are right on the launch ✈️. I also think SB will be upgraded stand by stand with a smaller than wished for capacity of around 55-60k. A few on here didn't want Simmons and they may get their wish. I'm non plus about him as really don't know if he can play on the left wing? A CH must surely be a priority though if we want to challenge for the title?

Great news that Dan Air✈️ are going to be our new sponsors. Not fussed about Simons we have plenty of players at that end of the pitch. Spend the money on a GK and CB and we’ll be set. As for the stadium, don’t care anymore, bored with it.

RPD, the only CH I can see us going for and he is a very good “prospect” is the young lad from Bayer Leverkusen.
Simmons can play wide but is also a AM, until recently I saw him as cover for Palmer but I now think we already have that in spades.

Tom, have you read/ seen the latest spouting from Spitty Garragher. His top tip:Chelsea won’t make it out of the first phase of the Champions League. Obviously, that might happen but he is supposed to be an objective pundit: he just hates us, which is fine with me: the feeling is mutual. How he gets gigs on TV to comment amazes me: he can hardly string a sentence together:rant over.

Jimbo, I did see that amongst his other stupid comments.
A truly revolting character and it’s a mystery to me how he got the pundit gig.
Remember, this a man all gobbed over football fans.
Another one I’m not a fan of is Martyn Keown.

Tom, agree about Keown. I don’t mind ex- footballers showing a bit of bias towards their old clubs- but those two are delusional and both crap defenders.

Jamie Spitty Carragher is the most pathetic biased lump of dog turd on the TV. His hatred and utter jealousy of Chelsea FC is bordering on insanity.

RPD, Carragher played over 500 games for the Scousers: scored 11 goals, 7 of them were own goals. Nuff said.

RPD, Regarding your main point about the SD’s getting contract extensions. I guess that shows that the owners are happy with there performance and that’s the judgement that really matters. They did come in for some non stop criticism from some fans during last season but obviously they are making the important people happy.

why is Carragher jealous of chelsea?

Can't stand Carragher biased, one eyed ( although he is not alone on that score ) banal and just not tactically astute and it has nothing to do with the fact that he is an ex Liverpool player thougt Alan Hansen was a great pundit.

He is just thick ( carragher) he dosent understand why Liverpool didn't qualify, perhaps it's because they didn't win the champions league or the club world cup in the 4 year cycle leading up to the new tournament and chelsea did, not sure why a lot of the other teams qualified tbh, but chelswa proved we are on the right path and that winning mentality is returning, the future is looking bright and I for one am feeling very confident.

Thoroughly enjoying the multitude of online clips of Gianfranco making absolute pig's meat of Carragher - twisting and turning he falls in a heap (TWICE) . Classic.
