With the window slamming shut shortly I will give my opinion on our business and also predict a premier league finishing position.
this window 7.5 out of 10.
Biggest positive for me is Joao pedro. We have added an absolute top tier mental profile up front. Not to mention his unbelievable quality. This guy has the potential to be a world class striker
I am also pleased with the depth in midfield after adding Santos and Essugo. We don't have to rely on lavia now as the 3rd choice midfielder. He can take his time in getting fit.
Hato is a superb addition at the back and gives proper cover for Cucu which was needed.
We have added players with exceptional ball striking ability that can score out of nothing, even if they are raw. Estevao, Delap, Garnacho and Gittens all have excellent technique when they shoot. If Garnacho knuckles down and shows the talent he has the window could move to an 8.
Biggest negative for me is not upgrading the keeper and maybe replacing levi - our leader at the back. That said Sanchez has 2 clean sheets and just 1 goal conceded from 3 games and our Centre backs have looked solid.
The sporting directors have also done very well in shifting a huge amount of players for a record fee of transfer window income taking our net spend to around zero including loan fees.
Is it enough to challenge for the title? probably not as Liverpool have invested huge sums and their forward line will probably take them to the title. Is 2nd and the "Arsenal trophy" possible? maybe, but I'm going for a solid 3rd place finish and a long run in the Champions League.

Hard to disagree with your post Greenaway.

Pretty much agree with all in your post Greenaway though would add that am a bit worried about striker cover if Pedro injured and if Delap out for two months and then hamstring weakness prone. Think Guiu has great potential but much still to prove. Also think Fernandez looks a hit knackered after long last season plus has hardly had a break in three seasons. And no equal in quality and experience as yet substitute if Caicedo breaks down. But let's hope for the best!

You're spot on with everything you said there Greenaway, Bouernanotte jury's out but looks a decent young talent, not sure how much game time he'll get though.

Decent enough window for us and we have a shout at the league if Liverpool and Arsenal slip up. I have a feeling Estevao is going to be a superb. Ist place is a bit soon for such a young squad but who knows.

Good post but like all cup runs it depends on the draw you get if you get out of the group, similar to local domestic cups, you could get a horrible away trip to pool or arsenal for argument sake on the 3rd round of the fa cup an get dumped out or you could avoid the big teams til further and a few of them could get dumped out as you progress etc
i do think we have better debt this season as mentioned above in midfield and the backline, and new wingers and forwards who hopefully take the pressure off palmer and it doesn't end up like last year when palmer dries up we struggle,
fingers crossed for a great season and cup runs galore? id take top 4 and a league cup or an fa cup been a long time since we won at wembley.
