Hugely interesting comments from Ed002 on the European page RE: Juventus transfer plans and some of it also concerns us and Kai Havertz.

RJ28P, I have looked at those comments and because his name has been mentioned by several posters on this site I have looked online at some clips.

I am not a fan of judging any player unless you see him over a full 90mins and with my own eyes but I have to say he looks one hell of player!

I don’t see it happening but it would be nice!

What a great read. Pity we cannot her a write up like that On this page.

If Bayern show concrete interest in Havertz then I can't see us getting him. He's Germany's golden boy, so it only seems likely that he'll end up in Munich.

Not sure we need him either if Werner indeed joins us. We have Pulisic, Callum, Ziyech, Tammy and Giroud already. Add Werner to that and that's 6 very good options for 3 positions.

I am concerned about CHO! . It would be a shame if he doesn’t fulfil his potential.

I assume Pedro is leaving and I’m not very confident about Willian agreeing to our terms, so he may well be going.

{Ed002's Note - I very much doubt you will see Pedro play again for Chelsea.}

I won’t hold my breath but could you imagine having Werner and Havertz with Ziyech and the young guys around them too that team would be able to play against anyone not to mention they all so young that’s a team that could dominate in a couple of years. So much versatility in the squad too. Exciting times dread to think how much the package in total for him would be though got to be 160 mil plus.

Hmm if Pedro doesn't sign that temporary extension then we're really light on wingers. Would be a shame to see him leave without playing again. On the other hand, if his last game is the Everton one, then that's a nice way to end it.

With Werner hopefully joining and Giroud signing a 1 year extension I think we are in great shape up front. I'm also excited with our midfield options now Ruben is fit again (big question mark as to whether he can stay injury free though) and the emergence of young Billy Gilmour, I really think he is going to be a star. Kante, Kovacic, Mount, Ruben, Gilmour, Barklay, Jorginho? plus Conor Gallacher and Ampadu both returning from loans. a lot of talent to pick from although I guess some will move on either sold or loaned. exciting times.

CHO had a season disrupted by injury, difficult enough for an experienced pro to get back match fit and very difficult for a kid like him.

Problem he has is that, despite us likely changing the setup of the team quite often, Werner and Ziyech are likely to be constants in most games. CHO is going to have to get his head down and work his way into the team. I worry that he may be of the opinion that he should be in on natural talent alone, and not be up for the hard work / battle for a place.

jackson i very much doubt we will be short of wingers we will have cho pulisic ziyech and werner who can all play left or right mid.

I think Jackson is saying we might be short out wide for the remainder of this season, not next season.

I can’t see Pedro playing again for us and that will be sad but I wish him all the best for the future.

Tom is correct, that's what I meant. If Werner joins as well then our winger options for next season look very good. But for the conclusion of the current season it would leave us with only Pulisic, Callum and Willian (unless Willian doesn't agree a short extension either) . Mount might have to shift to the wing in case of injuries.

Good afternoon Ed002; please who is the other player that Chelsea missed out on- when you were talking about Kai Havertz on the European page? Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Reinier Jesus.}

I'm still of the opinion that Willian might agree a new contract. I think it would make sense. Nice thread this one, good comments, well balanced and no trolling. long may it continue.

{Ed002's Note - I agree and that might well happen.}

Yes nice calm thread, i doubt willian will sign tbh, havertz woukd be brilliant as a top player and can play cm, acm, rw and cf. ed002 is it possible to ask what chelsea interesting proposal to leverkusen for havertz? Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - I don't think sharing that would be appreciated.}

It would by me and im sure a lot of others on here who are genuinely interested and appreciate what you tell us.

{Ed002's Note - That isn't the issue.}

Understandable, Ed. Obviously a lot on here would be eager to read it, but we have little idea about the trolling and abuse getting sent in. So I trust you're right.

Just wondering, is it perhaps one of our younger players being included in a deal in some sort of way? Like a loan, or outright including a player for a permanent transfer?
Don't mean to push you on this, but I'd hate to see one of Callum or Pulisic leave to make space for someone else, even if that player is as awesome as Havertz.

{Ed002's Note - It is nothing to do with abuse. You are simply making the rest of the stuff up.}

Hey Jackson, I think Ed meant it won’t be appreciated by the clubs and not as a result of Mindless keyboard warriors abuse.

I see how bringing in Kai Havertz will interfere with Pulisic or Hudson-Odoi.

Eli, you're probably right. I misinterpreted it :)

Sorry for the unnecessary question, Ed!

aah ok my bad ed002, your making me feel positive about him possibly joining tbh i reckon we have a chance if we pay up as he's said he wants to join a club with a project and good young manager plus if werner comes it should help as a teamate from germany.
