On a serious note, feels like we've massively let Tuchel down. Wouldn't blame him if he walked, he made it clear what he wanted and we failed to deliver after winning the big prize in football.

RJ, £97m on Lukaku?! Hardly a 'let down'. And Seville and Athletico have every right to demand whatever they like for players under contract to them.

Personally, I still think Kounde will arrive today but, if not, we still have a very strong squad with Chalobah and RLC.

RJ, why on earth would TT walk?

He got the CF he wanted and it’s well documented we have tried to make signings that would bolster the squad and hopefully improve it.

If the club can’t reach an agreement on player valuation then they are absolutely correct to walk away.

TT is a big boy he knows the rules and he knows the effort the club has put into signings this window.

Chalobah is more than good enough, and Koundé might come in January.
Our midfield problem will be addressed next summer, until then we can leave with what we have. Ampadu and RLC are good back ups. Chalobah can also play in the middle.

The midfield is a concern and I don't think any of us can deny that, with only 3 first team regulars in Kante, Kovacic and Jorginho. Any long term injuries to either and we're in trouble.

If no midfielder arrives today, we will have to hope RLC and Ampadu can step in and step up when and where needed. Because with only 3 senior midfielders, its inevitable that they will be called upon at some point.
