Ed002
Not sure if you have covered this recently but several reports today that the club are looking to sell Gallagher.
Would you know if this is true?
Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Conor Gallagher (CM) Borussia Dortmund, West Ham, Brighton and Crystal Palace have declared an interest - possible departure for the summer - will depend on head coach. Newcastle offer a wildcard option. Spurs have asked for talks. Chelsea considered offering him as a makeweight in a deal for Moises Caicedo. No decision yet - pre-season will inform the decision.}

I hope he stays, he has great attitude and work rate.

Not too sure - spends most of his time running about like a headless chicken and I'm baffled as to how he doesn't get booked more often with some reckless challenges.

He has scored 2 goals in pre-season games, he carries a goal threat so we should keep him.

He works very hard and put himself about and therefore fans love him as we all like a player that works hard.

His work rate takes him into other players space and he doesn’t create much.

I guess it depends on what sort of player you want in our midfield.

Exactly Tom!
Cucurella for me falls into same category (badly caught out in "no mans land") for Newcastles equaliser.
Whilst I appreciate their efforts and input both are not Chelsea 1st team quality and should be sold. Ian Maatsen must stay, anywhere on the pitch, he does a quality job, outstanding!
Conner doing his "headless chicken" thing cost us as it left Enzo operating in a deep lying midfielder rather than creating further fwd.
I also think/ feel our purchase of Nico Jackson will be seen as an absolute bargain in the future, the lad is class!
