Good thing about Saul and no Kounde is that we get to see more of Trevoh Chalobah who's a proper player.

Next summer if Saul is good enough we can activate it or he can go back. Gilmour and Gallagher will have a year of premier league experience under their belt and could come in to the squad. I do genuinely see Rice or Tchouameni coming next season. I think Marina's been great not panic buying anyone and ended up with a quality loan signing who gives us squad depth. Few years ago we'd have ended up with playerd like zappacosta and Drinkwater for positions which shows how far we've come. For me I've never seen what Kovacic offers although he played a superb ball to pre assist the Lukaku goal at Arsenal. If he does more of that then fantastic but he's generally really poor in the final third and not great defensively.

Eider kovacic was our best player second half against liverpool.

Personally I thought it was Christensen but all 10 men defended well. I’m more or less going off last season with Kovacic as in my opinion he doesn’t offer enough either end of the pitch. But he has started this season well so I hope it continues.

My view on Kovacic is that he has a bit of everything. I love the way he carries the ball out of Chelsea’s third of the pitch, his passing is good, both short and long, he gets stuck in… I think the challenge for him, is that he does his best work in the middle third, so is less conspicuous that those breaking up attacks or providing assists.

He can’t shoot for toffee though, I’ll give you that!
