As crazy as it sounds Diego Costa's temperament is one of the biggest uncertainties facing our club. Now I understand this helps him perform but teams gear to wind him up and he's had enough history that refs now look for things. This year didier drogba had more appearances than costa and I know some of that is down to injuries but it goes beyond that. Costa picked up a card seemingly every other game and this lead to him not being able to press as effectively and generally being subbed off. 20 goals in the league would generally constitute a fine season for a striker but we need our #1 striker to have more than 26 league appearances. I'm hopeful that having a light end to the season and an extended holiday for the first time in 2 years will help his hamstrings heal properly which has been a major issue. That said I love the guy to pieces and root for him more than probably anyone else in the team.

i wouldn't regard this as one of our biggest concerns. If you look at last season, city won the league with Aguero playing 23 times in the league, scoring 17 (so a similar strike rate to Costa this season). On top of this I'd say Mourinho persisting to play Drogba when Remy was fit was a problem for us. Aguero might not have played much last year but they had players like negrado (in the first half of the season) yaya toure and dzeko chipping in with a significant amount of goals. I think this just emphasises our need for another goalscoring winger/attacking mid such as Griezmann, if we are going to persist with one up front as well more goals from elsewhere (Willian Fabregas Oscar etc)

Skipping from 442 to 4231 was the main reason why MCFC couldn't get closer to Chelsea, another reason was not playing Dzeko enough.

Yeah I don't really understand, Dzeko usually plays fine but doesn't get picked by managers. Same as with Remy in chelsea

I must not have been clear as I meant to imply that a second top class striker is a must as you said Alex. Agree with a lot of your points.

But I believe we already have a top striker in Remy, third choice xan always be a youngster. So it either be Bamford (who may try to get a loan with some PL club if reasured of playing time) or solanke who is still really yound but plays as a beast
