I'm seeking advice for realistic and quality alternatives.

Haaland isn't going to happen
Kane isn't going to happen
Lukaku doubtful in particular if Conte stays.
Rice isn't going to happen

So, my fellow posters what alternatives would you suggest?

No idea how he has been playing (if at all) but Luca Jovic at Madrid was thought of very highly before he moved. Don't know how that has gone but could work for us?

Maybe get Hazard back and Jovic for a decent price?

Rice might happen Tom, but if not it seems we have an interest in Tuochamni from Monaco.

For ST, I have no idea who we are targeting other than the players you mentioned. But DCL seems like a decent player to have.

In terms of a striker, I think you've rightly said Kane or Haaland won't happen. My preference is Dusan Vlahovic, his had pretty solid season at Fiorentina scoring 21 league goals. Obviously could be a risky signing but at 21 years old he could be around for a long time if it works for us.

Declan Rice won't happen, I think its highly likely his Utd bound especially given that West Ham want Lingard so I could see a swap + plus cash here.

Unless we get Kane or Haaland I'd stick with what we currently have. I can see Kai and Timo scoring a rubbishload of goals for us going forward. My team for next season.

I agree about the lad from Fiorentina, he look a handful.

He is young and one of my concerns would be if he is a one season wonder.

Thats it Tom, I hate the fact that he could indeed be a one season wonder.

Worst case scenario, I can see Kai Havertz flourish either as a striker. He seems to have the full package but again do you want to risk it Dadubliner? If it don't work then we are in big trouble and it could cost jobs given our history.

The striker situation is perplexing, we wonâ€™t get Haaland or Kane and I donâ€™t want Lukaku. In theory you donâ€™t need an out and out striker and as suggested above the I too believe that Timo and Kai will score a lot more goals next season but I would feel better with a 25 goal a season forward so excluding who I have mentioned I havenâ€™t got a clue- just as well Iâ€™m not the Chelsea coach.

I just wish the real Timo Werner would just stand up from this Saturday. His story reminds me of the space Jam movie. I was watching his clips from last year and I was thinking was that actually Werner. its almost like an alien has gone into his body lol.

GG of course I donâ€™t know that it definitely wonâ€™t happen. If Iâ€™m wrong so be it but in my view Haaland doesnâ€™t see Chelsea as a big enough club and wants to go to Real or Barca- maybe his view will change in we win CL final! . As for Kane I just donâ€™t see Levy selling him to us or for that matter Kane wanting to join us. If people want to believe that either of those two players will join us next season - good luck.

Nothing is certain in life. Unfortunately because of the abuse directed at some players by posters, we do not have the Eds input on transfers at the moment. So, we are left picking up the crumbs from other sources and from what Iâ€™m reading, we are, unfortunately, NOT going to be signing any of the players mentioned.

I hope the posters who have caused this situation are happy with themselves.
